After reading many topics.. I'm confused. Is this a JW forum or an ANTI-JW?
by MichaelM ini'm studying with a jehovah's witness and it makes quite a bit of sense but i've been reading many topics on here and it seems that i can find every christian denomination and every religion except jehovahs witnesses.
do any jw's actually browse here?
maybe i'm just getting unlucky and picking the wrong topics where everyones discussing about how they used to be jw's.

by garybuss ini got this message from a forum member.. i think you may be confusing the wts' understanding of the "sheep" of matthew chapter 25 (who have not yet been separated from the "goats") and the "other sheep" of john chapter 10. the two groups are not (i.e.
no longer) considered synonymous.. .
what am i missing?

The GB is a cloaking device for the FDS
by cultswatter ini spent my first 25 years in the jws and could never figure out who the fds was.
today it was bugging me - why can't i relate to the fds even though i now know it is nonsense, but even more important, why can't jws understand who the fds really is?.
let's look at some facts.

Of course if an ex-jw DID hate jws (in reality it would more likely be the WT organisation) that wouldn't mean that everything the ex-jw said was wrong.
The two things are unconnected. Hate/dislike of WT/JWs and ex-JWs spreading false information about WT.
It's this sort of flawed reasoning that MichaelM needs to look for.
And he'll soon see that very little comes from this board.

be very careful of the hatred of JWs here and other similar sites... a quick search of posts will reveal this. Also be careful of some JWs tendency to blindly accept teachings. But that doesnt mean it isnt the truth.
while i would agree that hatred of JWs is wrong, keep your wits about you.
Just because a group is hated by some, doesn't mean that they are right - you may find that they try to say that any persecution PROVES they are the true religion - which is very poor reasoning.
Neither of the two points mentioned here are helpful in decerning truth. However if you focus on either of these you will find your focus shifted in your search for truth.
You'll get quite good at spotting red herrings.
You will find tho that JWs are actually ADVISED to HATE people who leave the organisation having uncovered information about it.
