I went to a laserquest party the other week with my 7 year old son and a dozen of his friends.
Then they let the Dads join in
It was fab - less bruises too!!!!
it was for a birthday treat for one of my friends, me and his best friend arranged it and wow was it a laugh!
i got some good bruises going on, but thats all part of the fun.. i'd always wanted to do it, and apart from doing something called laser quest, which is just light guns, i'd always considered it to much of a no no, when a dub.
i recommend it to anyone, there was men, women, children of say 13 or 14 too, the paint balls are a bit pricy but if its a one off, and the memories you take away are great.. cs 101.

one of the things i find distasteful is what the witnesses' taste for music is.
they have the same 225 songs that they had since 1984. and many of those were carried from the previous book.. what i noticed while i was there is that none of the songs are really music.
they are so poorly written and performed that i think whoever was in charge of it just threw it together.
Doh!
Someone did the "Like bees that were molested" line before me
I was reading the "Christian Rock" thread someone posted over the weekend.
Now I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea and some will not listen simply because of the lyrical content, but it's totally possible to find "Christian Music" in most of the contemporary genres - rock, pop, indie, dance, soul/r&b etc.
When I first discovered this after leaving JWs I listened to a lot of it.
I buy quite a bit of music and I find I can easily listen to Christian music and non-Christian stuff side by side.
But Nobody inside the JWs listens to their own music outside KH. It's awful by any standards. And if they did they'd be very tired of the same 225 songs they've had for 25 years.
apprinceprince will play 21 concerts in london.

Hi Crumpet
Next time just ask every member of the board to give you a quid

i pretty much don't think much of christendom.
but why do christians insist on holding such an unholdable position with the trinity.. the bible i agree holds proof for both trinity and nontrinity positions.. i still don't get why that christians other than catholics would hold such an untenable position as god came down to earth but didn't, and he prayed ( talked ) to himself a lot.. .
i remember a comedy sketch were some kids were stumping a nun in catholic school with question on the trinity and the eurachrist..
That's why many focus on the relationship with God.
If I say I know God exists because I have experienced his presence, you've got a couple of options - call me a liar or call me deluded.
I may be either of those things. But it's my experience and my faith that's resting on it.
That's why I no longer expect a uniform explanation of God and don't have any problem with those who don't believe or who have a slightly different perspective - inc JWs
I have issues with the WT but not with JWs. Same goes for The Catholic Church but not Catholics etc etc.
That's why many do not look for
the so called right christian religion
but do feel they have come to know (something of) God
i was having a very interesting conversation with a co-worker that is a "born-again christian" and is a very nice guy.
he is very hard-working and everybody loves him to death.
one reason i like him so much is because he lives the role of a christian and not just "announce" every 5 minutes that he is born-again like alot of christians i know.
1. There's no such thing as a non-born again Christian.
Yes there is.

sixteen child sex abuse lawsuits against jehovahs witnesses are settled.
I too would like to see Mad restored to the board.
He's doing so much damage to the WT.
I'd let him post but I really don't think anyone should respond to anything he says.
let me start out by saying, i know this is nit picking.
i know it's not a big deal.
it's just interesting to me.
They can relax on the copyright bit
Nobody in their right mind would want to claim that they were responsible for the NWT
i am new, maybe this has been discussed, however, if i am not mistaken, witnesses are allowed now to accept blood fragments.
if it is, those fragments have to come from donated blood.
are witnesses allowed to donate blood?
Great isn't it!
Now I wonder why the FDS can't see that
i always used to cringe when the watchtower "family" and "youth" books would stereotype men and women into two mutually exclusive categories: "men think while women feel.
"one trait is not better than the other they are just different...," i recall the books went on to say in so many words.
i'm well aware both men and women have excelled in science, etc.
Actually the WT is TOTALLY wrong.
Men think AND feel the most
