apparently, this kid mentioned wrote a disturbing short story about a massacre, but he himself had no plans to do anything about it.
he was prosecuted under an oklahoma law that prohibited 'planning' a columbine-like event.
this law is so broad, that even writing a fictional story could be prosecuted.

Am I detecting a similarity to the dub mentality here?....If you don't love it, then leave???...Or we'll kick you out???America (or at least Bush) takes it yet a step further...love it or I'll kill you...?
Did you even look at the site? It is private citizens taking up a collection to provide free tickets to someone to go somewhere else. They also provide return tickets.
My goodness, where did you come up with *love it or I'll kill you?*
As jelly noted, if complainers don't like it, let them try another country on for a year, which is what this site is offering. How is that bad?! They might like Canada....
Then again, they might realize that the US is not that bad....
Geesh....you [edited] really need to chill out. He is one man who will be gone in a few short months. Then your taxes can go up again and you can complain about the next prez. Relax. The more things change, the more they will stay the same....
I am editing to say, at 11.49, EST, August 23, 2003:
The big red [edited] above looks like I swore. I did not. I said GW hating, America bashers.
That to me is not worthy of an edit. Peace be with you....

i say, "you should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee.".
ROTFL!!!
Good One!!!

i would date simon.
im not gay and neither is he but i think over the course of the dinner i could deprogram him and get him thinking clearly on political issues.
I'll chip in for the Chardonnay....
instead of bringing out the negatives about being a witness, let's relate some good experiences!
i'll start.
i remember a sister that brought up all her kids up in the "truth" and her husband was very opposed but later he started studying and he even got baptized.
At that party there was one young sister, Carlene, who decided to go *wild*. She wanted to dance.....everyone was terrified to dance, so she *danced* by herself. For hours the poor girl was in the middle of the living room floor with about 20 people gathered around watching.....she danced by herself. One, two, three, four, right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot.....on and on.
Then again, she did have very large breasts. She was doing a very good rendition of what a topless dancer would do today, so perhaps that is why all the young JW boys were staring, in rapt attention....
up high on my list has to be when a jw co-worker named john fitzgerald tore into me one morning (when i was coming in late for work) for grabbing a quick piece of cake from the lunch room.
turns out, someone in this small little office had brought in the remainder of their birthday cake for folks at work to finish up eating.
john was older than i and a ministerial servant (ooh) and felt it his responsibility to keep me on the straight and narrow.
My MS uncle and his JW family had *Smith Day* one year. (Smith was their last name) During Christmas. I was 17 and had driven over to there area to drop off my time sheet for the temp agency I worked for and they lived literally around the corner.
I decided to stop in and say Hi. I suprised them. My aunt let me in only because she was suprised. They had a little tree set up on at the top of the stair case leading to the bedrooms of the home. Underneath were of course, lots of presents. I saw a big banner saying *Merry Smith Day!* I asked what the heck was going on? Were they celebrating Christmas?
Oh, no, my aunt insisted. They were just celebrating having such a wonderful, happy family. It just coincided with Christmas this year. They did this every year and pulled a date out of a hat...they would all buy gifts for each other and share a day of family fun....
YEAH.....

Hmmm.....
Our cong:
NO dancing.....young people might rub together and end up *petting* which might lead to *heavy petting* which could lead to fornication
NO drinking....could lead to public drunkeness. One young brother had 4 beers where beer was allowed and he was DF for it. He was *Publically Drunk* and therefore a bad influence on the rest of us. All he did was giggle the whole time. No loudness, no rowdyness, no barfing....just giggling. That was a bad influence.
NO music....at a *house party* they played the Beach Boys Greatest Hits over and over for 4 hours....My mother would not come and pick me up. I called crying and begged her to come get me...I hated the Beach Boys....I wanted to hear AC/DC and Van Halen. They kept playing the same LP over and over and over.
No I cannot think of anything good. It really was all bad. From going to meetings to going out in service. Our cong was made up of a bunch of tight ass elders and their tight ass wives and kids.

The site is funny.
As noted...if you don't like it, leave. No one is forcing you to stay. The site even offers you a return ticket after one year. How benign is that?!
Please note that they *volunteers* are all young. Young and stupid.
Let the young man who wants to go to N. Korea go. Let him see what it is like in a true *democracy*. HaHa.
