You see a beautiful house in a well to do neighborhood. They are considered middle class.
The family living inside is model citizens. Wife chooses to stay home and take care of the families comforts and needs. Father is a blue-collar worker, very efficient in the workplace, an employee any business owner would pay top dollar to have. The children in the home are well-mannered model children in the neighborhood and have high respect for parents.
Father comes home from work. Neighbors see him get out of his nice modest clean car in his nice uncrumpled suit, walk up his clean and immaculate driveway, and enter his house. His loving wife gives him a kiss and says, “dinner will be ready in 20 minutes”. The family later gathers around the table and eats a very balanced meal. Afterwards each one does his and her duties and then goes off in their different directions to take care of end of the day matters. Mother have time to sit down in her comfortable area for a few minutes before getting children ready for bed and reflects.”I am so lucky”. My husband and me have raised our children to be responsible citizens. They are obedient and loving. Oh it takes a lot of hard work to keep them that way but they respond. My husband loves all of us and is a good provider. Life is good!” Later everyone is tucked away in bed for the night.
Wife is in bed waiting for hubby, hubby gets in beside her and gives her a tender peck on the cheek and says goodnight honey and turns over and falls to sleep. Wife smiles to herself and thinks, he is so tired. Then wife falls asleep.
An hour later hubby gets up out of bed and proceeds to leave he and his wife's bedroom. He proceeds down the hallway to one of his little girl’s room, goes inside quietly and does what he has been doing since she was 3 years old. Sexually molesting her.

Now if you had asked his wife and his other children earlier that day how they would describe this man, what would they say?

1. He is a good father because he provides well for us, physically, spiritually, and mentally.
2. He always takes us to recreational activities.
3. He loves us.
4. He teaches us moral values and make sure that we make the right choices.
5. He disciplines us when we need it.
6. He supports our education.

The little daughter that is being molested of course feels the same way, because she is too young yet to fully comprehend what is happening to her.

To answer your question; “just because someone does many right things does not mean that they are good and right about all things.

Peer Pressure - the WTS Greatest Weapon

in my early years of questioning wts theology and methodology in the late 70s', i was entirely on my own.

i knew that something was seriously wrong with their doctrines, but there was no internet, no discussion groups, and in my particular area of the uk, no listening ear.

in fact everybody seemed so pleasantly in love with the truth and so drawn along by collective enthusiasm that i seriously began to question my own attitudes.. sometimes i would wonder if i had gone quite mad, lost god's spirit, or had accomplished some dark deed in my past, that unknown to me was stripping me of my faith.

my husband accused me of apostasy today!

when he came home from work i was talking to a friend on the telephone and he asked me what was i talking about.

i know that he thought that i was talking about the things that i learned about the misleading prophecies that the wt had printed.

Thanks everyone for your concern.
Yes he is active and believes that those folks are worshipping God in truth. He acknowledges that wrong things go on, but he believes that it is because of human imperfection, yada yada yada. He doesn’t think I am a submissive wife, because I do not tremble at them. One time he did get really mad at me and said under his breath, “of all the sisters that I could have married, I married you.” That hurt. But I said right back, “maybe you could have married one of those silly pioneer sisters that still are not married because other brothers have sense enough to know that they are pioneering because they are lazy, only working partime “in order to pioneer”. Or you could have married one of those sorry sisters whose husband left them when they came into the “truth”. Those men were just waiting for an excuse to get rid of those sorry things.”
He is so angry with me right now for not going to the kingdom hall. And when I do go he holds his breath when the brothers approach me because he think I will say something unkind. I told him that I am more intelligent than that. But if they ask me a nosy question I will simply say, “ask my head”. If they persist then I will say that it is none of your business with a look to kill. I told my husband that I do not need their permission or approval. I told him if he wants to be happy with a good and supportive wife he better be nice to me.
I give him little tidbits from time to time. Sometimes he let me talk a little more than other times. He knows that I am not lying.
I believe that he loves me. He provides well for me. I just can’t seem to get those rose colored glasses off that face of his. Any more suggestions?

My husband accused me of Apostasy today! When he came home from work I was talking to a friend on the telephone and he asked me what was I talking about. I know that he thought that I was talking about the things that I learned about the misleading prophecies that the WT had printed. I reassured him that I was not. I could see that he wanted to discuss it a little more so I proceeded to say;

Pure………You know that when I read the early history of Russell its as if I am reading about Joseph Smith.
Hubby…….Starts laughing
Pure………. Did you know that 90% of the things that Russell taught are wrong?
Hubby……..How do you know that? Who is to say if he was wrong? He was printing what he felt to be right.
Pure……….. It doesn’t make it right just because he wanted it to be. You should not defend someone that was wrong. Defend the truth not a lie. He said that Jesus Christ presence began in 1874 and that Armageddon would take place in 1914. Did it happen? Rutherford comes right behind him and changed everything that he said. You know why? Because Russell was wrong.

Pure………..Then I looked at him and said, “wait a minute, maybe Russell was right and the “Boys” now are wrong. Maybe Jesus did begin his presence in 1874 and Armageddon did come in 1914. Maybe Rutherford was right in saying that Moses, David, and the older prophets would be resurrected in 1925. Maybe they are living in Afghanistan in the caves waiting for the right time to reveal themselves. Maybe one of them is President Bush and some are congressmen.
Hubby……..rolling his eyes……….starts laughing. You are just a little apostate. I hope that you are not saying these things to anyone. You know that if they find out at the Kingdom Hall they will hunt you down like a dog and disfellowship you?
Pure………..So who is lying? Russell, Rutherford, or the Boys at the WTS today. If I had to choose, of one that is telling the truth I would say Russell. (Sarcastically)
Hubby……..Walks out shaking his head.

Defeating The Watchtower - What Does This Mean?

i actually wrote this post in response to a poster recently dealing with the 'defeating' of the wts.. i have started a new topic with the post as i would like to hear opinions of what xjw's and others view as a 'defeated' watchtower.. "i am not quite sure what we all want from the wts.

what does a person mean by 'defeating' the watchtower?.

destroying it, selling its buildings, giving the cash back to the people who bought them?

I am in full agreement with this satement by Sam Beli.

Another Example of Watchtower Lies EXPOSED

i thought some of you may find this interesting.

it is so humorous to look into the watchtower bible and tract society's own literature and so blatantly see they change their mind and lie so frequently.. these are direct quotes from their own literature.

if you doubt my posting this, please check for yourself.. now to establish a precedence that the watchtower bible and tract society, the corporate religous entity which provides literature and oversees jehovah's witnesses worldwide, believes it is an inspired prophet, let us look at .

The reason that JWs continue to obey the "Faithful and Descreet Slave" is because they really believe that it is God's channel of communication to humans. So no matter what anyone says, they feel that if they do not obey the Slave they will incurr Gods disfavor. It has been instilled in them. Many of them see things going on that are not right, but are afraid to speak up for many other different reasons.
It will take exposure of the grandest kind to open their eyes to the real truth. When that happens and it most definitely will, the JWs will finaly see how mislead they are.
Like Jesus said, "you will know the truth and it will set you free."

in the early 1980s, i worked at bechtel corporation in san francisco.

i commuted 45 miles one way each day in heavy traffic, taking a total time of 11-12 hours per day from the time i left home until i arrived home from work.

in addition, i traveled a great deal for the company, spending many hours on airplanes.

I also want to thank you for your researched information on Rutherfords trial. I perused it carefully. I realize that it took a lot of preparation. The WTS leave out so much information in their history. Its good when ones like yourself take the time to dig up the whole "truth". Thanks again. Your effort is greatly appreciated.
