Unfortunately I don't think they have developed an IQ test to judge whether you are an asshole or not.
Yes, there is one! It's called "The Written Review." [ducking and LOL.....]

my witness mother received her regular visit from an elder (she lives with me)...she told me he said they have something new, where the circuit overseer could talk to disfellowshipped ones [i'm disassociated 7 years, out 17] if the disf.
one so wishes, and be invited to attend the meetings.. mom said, "donald just wants to be left alone.".
elder: "jehovah knows peoples' hearts.

Well, this is indeed good news for DF'd ones!
Why, even regular rank and file jws who are NOT DF'd very rarely have the honor and privilege of the CO speaking to them (unless of course they were providing the CO food and/or shelter, or had the rotten luck to pull the short straw and have to go door-to-door with either Hisself or Hiswife.)
If I'd known that all I had to do to get one of those rascals to speak to me was to be DF'd, I'd have done it a long time ago, and saved myself lots of grief!
More new light. I LIVE for new light.
And good for your Mom... sticking up for you. I like her.
I'm glad you're happy. I too was a born and raised JW, and I think that all I suffered just makes me appreciate my life now even more.

i just wanted to say something that is ticking me off a bit....... one of my best friends was raised a jw.......she wants nothing to do with it,but she is making her step daughter go to the meetings and assemblies(sp)....her step daughter doesnot want to go.i'm sitting there listening to her forcing her daughter go to the meetings...i'm getting sick to my stomache.why is she doing this to her daughter?she knows what it is like and what it did to her...it did nothing for her...accept get her married off at 16.arrrgggg!!!.
all i said to them ..is "i" don't go beyond the bible!!!!
sorrie, but i'm blowing off a bit off steam here.her step daughter can still have b-days and holidays(which is good) but she has to go to the meetings!her father thinks it is a cult and wants nothing to do with it.....omg!!!.
Hi
Send the info to the FATHER. She's probably still brainwashed and may be viewing your stuff as apostate material. Dad will have no such blinders.
Again, good luck!
i've just joined up to silentlambs.
basically i still consider myself a jw, although i'm no longer active.
i do frequent the odd sunday meeting tho, as i still consider 95% of it to be the truth.
Hi and welcome
You might want to add to the things you are questioning the following:
1. That the Watchtower society clearly goes against the Bible when they insert the organization inbetween yourself and Jesus. The Bible says that there is one mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus. The WT tells you quite clearly that this only applies to the 144,000 and that they are the mediator between you and Christ.
2. When you get baptized, you get baptized not in the name of the holy spirit, but in God's "spirit-directed organization."
3. You are taught, on pain of DF, that you cannot understand the Bible without one of the organization's publications.
I have a lot of problems with a man-made organization inserting itself into every single aspect of your relationship with God, and that if you reject any of that, you will be destroyed at Armageddon by a very petty and vengeful Jehovah.
Just my two cents! Best of luck on your journey. I look forward to your posts.

If it wuz me, I'd take the father aside and clue him in as to what the WT Society is really all about. He probably has no idea. Maybe if he were informed he'd put a stop to this.
Print out some good stuff (child molestation, mind control, etc.) so it doesn't sound like just sour grapes from you.
Hugs 2 you

isn't this just a pitiful way of saying, 'i can't deal with my anger'....'just be passive and be quiet and don't have any expectations'....'life is just too difficult; count me out'....'i can't have any impact anyway so why should i even try?
'....and of just sitting somewhere on the very outside and just daydreaming of how god, or maybe even spiderman, is just going to come along one day and then, then really, "i'll show you!
"
"Wait on Jehovah:" =
= Stop Complaining or we'll remove some privileges
= Are you questioning Jehovah's Organization?
= How'dja like to pull full Bathroom Cleaning Duty for the next convention?
= Isn't your husband providing sufficient spiritual guidance for his wife?
= WAIT!! LOOK!! Isn't that New Light... over there! Look! Augh, you MISSED it!
= Say another word and you'll lose your family.
i was flying back from indiana today, another stressed-filled factory installation - it was goregous and i was pondering as i stared out the window at the earth passing by.
and i was thinking about what i used to tell the other sisters when i was a regular pioneer when they asked me how i felt about higher education.. i would say, "where would you rather be when armageddon came - out in field service or sitting in some dingy college classroom".
i really believed that at the age of 18.. and then i would go scrub toilets in office buildings in the middle of the night to put gas in the car while my mind stagnated.
And then one day it hit me. I had made a big mistake
And you learned from yours. Congratulations to you!
I for one decided I'd rather be dead and nothing than continue to go out in field service. Fortunately, as time went on I figured out one had nothing to do with the other. Now I have a good life.
i have mentioned on this board before, that i think the downfall of organized religion rest in the fact that they are to stubborn to change.
meaning, "what is, will always be.
" as they feel their teachings are based on god and that is all that matters.

JW's excepted, of course! They have "new light" all the time!

last night, on "er", an intern has a dispute with a doctor about a patient's chances.
for survival.
the doctor asserts that a cure might be 50 years away.. the intern says no, maybe 5!
LOL @ Runningman
Owww, the pain, the pain! I remember, I remember! Uncle! Thank you for not quoting the other one (THAT one I DO remember.)
Better watch out or I'll post the parody of the song of "Keep Your Eyes On the Prize" I wrote for another exjw forum. You won't get the tune out of your head for weeks! bwaa ha haaaa
