i already saw them going door to door at -25 f. i wonder what it would take for them to say it is too cold or too hot to go out in the field service?
the CO said something about how I'd brought reproach on Jehovah for what happened. Apparently the householder was horrified that they'd take a child door to door in that weather to the point where they'd pass out from the cold

just a thought about how the wts handles baptisms .... it's strange isn't it that they pay such minute attention to detail for the actual baptism itself - someone scrutinises the whole event and should anyone's big toe sticks out the water then they get dunked again.. why?.
do they think getting completely covered is some magical spiritual thing?.
do they suppose that god wouldn't accept it if someone unnoticed didn't go under completely?.
Maybe those who don't want to be DF'd because of family, but want to leave, could claim they weren't completely submerged so they weren't really baptized?
BTW, when I joined the Episcopal church, I was baptized as an adult, they said my JW baptism "didn't count!" No wonder, because JWs are baptized into the organization, not to Jesus' death.

Sure, along with stuff like God wouldn't "notice" a pedophile because he wasn't DF'd, or He wouldn't notice if you took a blood fraction as long as it wasn't whole blood, or if your own recirculated blood hit the air at any time. Just in general, even after being out as long as I am, I still appreciate not having to be a JW 24/7. It wasn't a religion, it was a way of life. Every minute of every day, "Is this OK? Is that OK? Am I allowed to do that?" From everything to saying "bless you" to a sneeze or participating in the office football pool, or whether or not it was OKAY to eat a Christmas cookie or grab a handful of Halloween candy, it was lurking, lurking, lurking every freakin' second of every freakin' day. i have recently made a couple of new friends, both episcopalian, and they are eager for me to attend one of their services.
they have nothing but good things to say about their church and its members.

Close, but not 100% true. They differ about Mary, and about the fact that the bread and wine PHYSICALLY BECOME the literal flesh and blood of Christ. Also, women and gays can be priests and bishops no less, and there is no celibacy or poverty requirement. As for the rest, you don't have to believe all the doctrines if you don't want to. If you don't believe in immortality of the soul, you're not going to get disfellowshipped for it! LOL
Also, you don't need an annulment to get remarried, and other Christian denominations are welcome to accept communion, whereas the Catholics want only other Catholics to receive in their church.
Never heard mention of purgatory, either. I think that's uniquely Catholic. And I'm not sure about hellfire. I've not heard a sermon about it in 6 years. I'll have to go look that one up. I don't believe in it, so even if my church teaches it, I reject it.
They don't make a big deal out of joining the church either, no little girls in fancy white dresses having their "first communion," and confirmation is usually done when you're a little older, and consists of renewing your baptismal vows and a laying on of hands by the bishop.
And there's no requirement that you raise your children Episcopalian in order to remain in good standing.
Interestingly, my JW "baptism" didn't count, so I got baptized in my 30's along with a lot of babies!!! [big grin]
OH confession. Everyone confesses together, right before the eucharist. We don't have little confession booths and each individual sin is not detailed. We do a general confession and then we all get forgiven immediately!

i have a cleaning lady because i had surgery on my left arm and i have a cast.
i hired her because i thought i could trust her.
it makes no difference IMHO if she were Salvadorian, white or purple.
