hi everyone, i too have been lurking for a few weeks and thought it was time i made myself known.
i am not a jw but i am married to a man who is from a multi-generational family of jw's (although he has not been to meetings since he was old enough to object).
although i have never had any direct involvement with the organisation itself, i find my life is constantly infulenced by these people who judge, shun and avoid my husband and i (i guess they don't want to mix with "worldy people" such as us).
welcome aboard Judith. from all of us at this PC also. There are 3 here OH and one other lurker who may post something later from the east of us.

as i am sure most of you know my parents were told they were to be disfellowshipped by roger eisenhuth and steve stripling over the telephone today.
yes we know they were disfellowshipped for apostasy however, is'nt it curious that they were not provided an explanation for how the elder body came to their decision.
i personally think that it is something that is truly deserving of an answer.

Yes I agree with that for sure. ESPECIALLY since the "GB" and the lot of them at the "HEADQUARTERS" are so hell bent on keeping accurate records of what everyone did, does and is doing since baptisim and with many, even before.
It should be mandatory that they furnish at least a reciept.

well we got the phone call from the elder to let us know of the decision to disfellowship us.
the one elder called while the other sat on the phone as a "witness".
the second elder was once a close friend.

as ive made it known on this board, my current status with the watchtower bible and tract society is that of inactive.
this is a loophole i have utilized, to keep an open channel of communication with family members in the organization.. i want to clarify with everyone: i do not hold any doctrinal ideas, theology, ideology, opinions expressed in any form by the wtbts.
therefore, to simply put, i do not believe in the wtbts in any way, shape, or form.
