ruth was a long time member of the menlo park congregation.
when the letter was read that indicated that john cobb, jason cobb, walter st. clair, and george stock had been removed from their post as elders, ruth fainted and needed to be taken to the hospital.

Has anyone ever thought about going on IRC and urging the Anonomous Hacker group that hates Scientology to go hack the sh**t out of jw-media.org, watchtower.org , and jw.org ? Am I being to vendictive?
I've been thinking of calling my Mother who is bipolar I and DF'd Apostate. She pleaded with me in tears to not get baptised and go back to JW's but I didn't listen. I haven't spoken to her in 8 or 9 years. I spoke to my half sister about her on Facebook and she said she just had another episode. She left college to go take care of her. She must hate me for not helping her. Actually my entire family on my mother's side is DF'd or fell away and I've ignored them for so very long. Now I'm on the edge of tears just thinking about it. I hope that my family on that side forgives me.

1975 was approaching and for years the society demanded the belief that god instructed these men of bethel to declare 1975 as the date for the end.

I remember reading this and becoming inflamed with anger over it. I'm friends with an elderly couple at the hall that went through that 1975 dibacle. They sold there house and possessions and went out to regular pioneer till the end came. They nearly went broke. They of course thought it was just there fault. This BS has ruined and rotted my whole family and destroyed my life as well. I'm not even so sure my bipolar would have shown its ugly head if I hadn't been Born in to this Cult. When I was a teen my parents never encouraged education. I didn't even bother to take my SAT because of it.

the hearts and flowers and gifts and doing the cleaning, the house work and paying the daily accounts never being drunk on drugs playing the horses or screwing others yep its all there but nothing coming back due to the wt guilt trip.. they made so much of 'oral sex' and 'pornea' incorrectly quoted at that and ventured thereby into areas they were patently very ill equipped to comment on.
Thats news to me! I can't have ORAL sex!?! WOW! I had to teach my wife how to do oral and now we perform it on eachother often and she loves it. I hope she doesn't read something from the WT that is going to destroy our currently good sex life. Where is it said that we can't have oral sex as a married couple? wtf! no one has a right to interfere in a legally binded married couples sex life. I stand here dumbfounded and flabergasted!

lisavegas420: yes that excerpt is really scary. My mother is a known Apostate and has suffered multiple bipolar manic episodes and several electroshock therapy procedures. She is handicapped and going down hill fast. In fact she recently had another episode and now my half sister is taking care of her at home. My sister was not born in and has done wonderful things for herself. She is graduating college soon and she has been in the foreign exchange student program I think. I'm afraid she thinks I'm a worthless piece of dung for not helping her with mom. I haven't spoken with her since I was baptised and it just cuts me to the bone. My wife hasn't cracked yet and refuses to have anything to do with her. The last time I did talk with her I hung up the phone in tears. Mom blames the JW's for her mental stuff and I think she might be at least half right.

because gorby has attended the memorial, he and his wife decide that one meeting a week was more then enough.. the rest of the family has attended the meeting this morning, including the special statement about the use of internet for marketing reasons instead of the magazines.. later on the day, we visited the family for a good cup of coffee.
nobody told us about the special statement!
and nobody asked us why we did not attend the special talk this day.. .
I caught the last part due to my wife dialing it in on the phone. I guess the guilt of not going got to her. The entire last part was a guilt trip. My wife was doing ok till today. THANKS SPECIAL TALK!!!
Isn't it ironic that a Geologist and a Physicist are in my Hall at the same time and they are believing this BS? I asked the Physicist how much evidence there is for Evolution being true and he said, there is a quite a lot, why do you ask? I was floored! He is a regular pioneer and now going to the Chinese Congregation to learn the language. How the hell does that happen? The man is a freaking genius Physics professor and he takes it hook, line and sinker!
latley i have been telling some of my family members that i don't beleive anymore, i had my mom especially not really beleiving either...then today's special talk scared her into submission to the wt society.
i guess the brother started crying during the part when they were telling inactive people to come back to jehovah.
she now says she's going to be a regular auxillary pioneer and that she's not going to give up on serving jah now cause she's afraid she's going to die.
I missed the special talk today because I never went to sleep last night due to severe insomnia. I finally got some sleep this morning only to be woken up by my wife streaming the talk to her phone beside me in bed. She commented that it was nothing new only that they stressed that inactive ones need to get back in the race for life. Here we go again!
