it was on the board recently, but i lost the link.

To make the current Web page available offline

On the Favorites menu, click Add to Favorites.
Select the Make available offline check box.
To specify a schedule for updating that page, and
how much content to download, click Customize.
Follow the instructions on your screen.

Note
Before you go offline, make sure you have the latest
version of your pages by clicking the Tools menu and
then clicking Synchronize.

an enormous amount of damage--emotionally, spiritually, etc.

IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!

Geez, jw's should get a clue.

I will do some checking on wt policy for you.

I don't think I could go back to a place that had
judged me wrong for something that was not my fault.

EXPLORER-Hatred, Hurt, and Forgiveness

explorer spoke about ex-jw's hating jw's and spoke about forgiveness.. i dug up an article from the 12/1/97 watchtower.. in paragraph 15, under the sub-heading, when it seems impossible to forgive, the article stated this:.

what, though, if others sin against us in a way that inflicts the deepest of wounds, and yet there is no acknowledgement of the sin, no repentance, and no apology on the part of the offender?

(proverbs 28:13) the scriptures clearly indicate that jehovah does not forgive unrepentant, hardened sinners.

I think there is a lot of misunderstanding of what true
forgiveness is.

Forgiveness is not synonymous with reconciliation.

Forgiveness may or may not include reconciliation.
It depends on the situation.

Forgiveness is not a 2 second decision, but a process.
Anger is actually part of the forgiveness process.
In fact, I don't think you can forgive someone unless
or until you have done your anger work.

Yeah, a lot of xjw's are angry. Rightly so.
It's a process.
Move thru it.

Searching For Someone

i knew someone when i was little named debra garcia.

she divorced and married someone else, but i do not know her new name.

the last time i saw her was in west helena, arkansas a few years ago, and she tried to speak to me, but i had been trained not to talk to this "evil apostate".

so if you knew where she got the license,
you could find out who she married.

If you have some idea of where she
might live, you could then search the
online telephone directories.

I hope you find each other.
I lost a good friend because of of disfellowshipping.
But we accidently ran into each other--a very surprising and happy reunion.

Flood and bristlecone pine

i mentioned that the dc in our area featured a talk where the speaker, as an illustration of endurance, mentioned methusaleh, the bristlecone pine that had lived for 4700+ years.

i asked here for some possible explanations of this that allow for the wt flood dating.

i had assumed that the standard response would be that the dating of the tree was wrong, that the rings had gotten doubled a few times or something.

account is not literal.

The new revised and updated version of
this book discusses the various anti-depressants
and how they work. The book has some very
good positive, encouraging, self-esteem building
chapters to read also.

Two Different Views/Hypocrisy

what's hard is seeing things 2 different ways.. in other words, sometimes when i realistically look at things in the organization (without pushing away the uncomfortable thoughts or feeling guilty), i come to the conclusion that "yes, something is definitely wrong in this organization.".

but then when i go to the meetings, service, etc., i think differently (i.e., "this is the truth, and i'm just spiritually weak and need to study more).

since i seem to be influenced both directions, how can i be sure which viewpoint is right?

JW's always apply that to the org. and
ask where else is there to go?

But that scripture doesn't say WHERE,
It says WHOM.

Individual Christians are found everywhere.
They are the ones who follow Jesus Christ,
not an organization.

It's gotten me thru some very rough times.
Maybe that would help you...write it all down and sort things out.

Sometimes it is good to turn down the noise of the outside
world and listen to what's going on inside of you to figure out
the best choices for you.

Your life matters!
Who you are and what you can give to this world
is something no one else can give.
