  I'm thinking that, by the time 2017 rolls around, there'll be a heck of a lot more than 10 million ex-JW's. It's an interesting concept though: If every single ex-Jehovah's Witness showed up to the Kingdom Hall one day, wouldn't at least some of the current members get to questioning why there should be so many?

  I'm left wondering how long I would have remained in if it weren't for the Internet; the Internet is what opened my eyes to the UN scandal, and it just grew from there. Before this happened, I was a happy and devout JW. Without the Internet, who knows how much longer it would have taken for me to see the TRUTH. (if ever, shudder!)

  My mother always likes things to be exactly the way she thinks they should be. So I've had to endure the following situation (this was years ago, before I was df'd):

  At an anniversary party for her and my dad they had a pinata for the children who were in attendance (large family, lotsa grandkids). My son, who is autisitc, was severely uncomfortable with banging the pinata. She tried to tell him that if he didn't take his turn, he wasn't allowed to get any of the treats once it was broken open (considering his disability, this was an insensitive rule). Of course, hubby and I firmly protested her decree, causing the pinata banging to be halted until the situation could be resolved. And yes, our son was allowed to have some of the treats after all.

  On the "up" side, due to this episode (which was sonny boy's first experience with a pinata), after I was df'd we had a birthday party for him, and we knew to buy him a pull-string pinata for the party instead of a regular one.

  is their a different set of laws for jw in california?

  it seems to be so much more lax as opposed to other parts of u.s?

  I agree, Wasblind. I mean, if they were truly indoctrinated to the point of being eligible for baptism, then how does this kind of thing slip through?

  And then to claim that others are mentally ill..... that's just so low.

  And then they finish it off with "We have no way of knowing the exact number...nor do we need to know"....

  REALLY????

  SO THEN WHY THE COMPULSION TO COUNT THEM AND PUBLISH THE NUMBERS?????

  How long until we see a "Sunday School" program?

  so we are seeing wt videos aimed at children, a feature for children in the watchtower aimed at young children, just how long until we start seeing some form of a sunday school for young children?.

  i know in the past it has been ridiculed by the wts, but the reality is that it is a better method for teaching children than sitting in the kh where they can't sit still for more than 5 minutes anyway..

  msnbc is reporting that "the government reported friday that the unemployment rate for college graduates fell slightly in may, to 3.9 percent from 4 percent a month earlier.

  for people with just a high school degree, the unemployment rate increased to 8.1 percent, from 7.9 percent a month earlier.".
