My Part in Apostate History

i went to my local library to find in search of christan freedom by ray franz.they didn't have it.so i asked if they could try to get it from another library for me.they took my name and address and phone number and told me i would get something in the mail when they got it.. .

i got a letter for them last week telling me it was in.i went yeasterday to pick it up.i was happly supprized to find out they had bought it from amazon .com.now it will be in the library system for others to read.i'm planning on doing the same for c of c.if they don't buy that one i'm going to donate my copy to them.this is my little part to help others who have questions and want to read up on jw's.. .

i know it's a small part and all i did was ask.boy am i proud.

Looking at it another way. If the embodiment of evil gets 6000+ years of "limbo time" before being punished by "The Enforcer", (a punishment which, if we accept the "Evil Spirits" doctrine, still permits these "Spirits" the metaphysical abilities to control time, space, and dimension) I'm *NOT* going to worry about being punished by for my sins. i decided to skip the convention for the first time this year.

i have been telling everyone in my congregation that i went but just didn't see them there.

a few nosey individuals are getting suspicious and they are trying to find out if i really went or not.

In other news... A Boy Scout Leader was at fault for a traffic collision today, while on his way home from a Boy Scout Weekend Retreat. The accident resulted in the death of an innocent pedestrian. The Boy Scout's of America released a statement saying that "Scout leaders work on their own and this is a personal matter for the Scout leader in question and we are not involved.... that is why we made sure we are the first to get involved an issue this statement."

Governing Body member Gerrit Lösch spoke at my District Convention

gerrit losch (it's pronounced kinda like "lirsh") did two things at our dc (portland, or june 30-july 2).

he released the new book about the minor prophets, and he gave the closing talk, the one with the resolution in it.

first of all, losch was not promoted to the governing body because of his speaking ability.

District Convention Resolution?

i've seen some threads here on the dcs this year but i don't remember reading about a resolution that may have been passed.

i saw this on another discussion board and have no idea if it's accurate or not.

it is posted that this occurred on sunday during the last talk.
