this is not to say that vallywally was born the same year as good ol' jeezee boy - though his creaking brittle bones are getting close to becoming the same age - valis will have to summon the strength in his monty burnsesque body to blow out that truckload of candles on his cholesterol free birthday pappadum.

Now that I am DA'ed.....
by Lapuce inwell dec 17 is the first day that i finally got out of the borg, thanks for all your help in making me see the real world.. .
i wrote my letter after many arguements with my highly fanatic jw wife of which i think divorce will probally follow as has been witnessing to me ever since my doubts 2 years ago.
ok so its hard, no firends, well at least i do have a few here.

congratulations on coming forward and taking a stand. it's something my husband and I had to do, an elder had once asked him (my hubby) why he had to argue every point when he was studying, the elder said if 99% of what I say is the truth then the next thing I say has to be the truth. Bad Jerry then said, if I find 1% of what you say to be a lie then every other thing becomes a lie. We had found that 1% this year and left.
I truly hope things work out for you, especially for the boys, try to be as civil as you can, when speaking to their mother or about their mother. Cheers to You !!

Having A Merry Xmas...Am I! :)
by Queenie45 inhad some problems with the heater going out and then the electricity had a bit of an outage problem and had to call pg&e was told it could be a wait and then christmas came early for us!
the wonderful pg&e guy showed up soon after the call in to them, and he fixed the problems!

What Did You Hate About The Circuit OV.'s Visit?
by minimus ini think that there a number of things about the circuit overseer's visit that stinks!
one thing that i hated was how all the elders got together to "shepherd" the flock right before the co's visit.....what bothered you about the week long visit??

I hated seeing everyone put up a front, it was also the one time everybody showed up and on time. then theres the fussing over he and his wife, like it was the president coming, nothing but the best.I avoided going out in service that week, heck I avoided going out in service for the past year we were there.

Who likes winter?

I like snow!! if it isn't 20 below, blowing and my vehicle gets stuck in it.
In Nebraska the old timers tell of the tons of snow that use to fall, right now we have none.

Did you raise your kids as witnesses?
by freedom96 inmy mom raised us as witnesses, and finally left the wts after we grew up and left the house.
my dad left after too.
now my mom is so sorry about it all, and how we had to live, with my father an elder, the strictness, and of course all the things that a good witness family could not do.. how many of you raised your kids as witnesses?

Yes, two were 4 and 1 when we came in, #3 was born into it, I use to say "do you want life or death" thing to them as they got older and didn't care to study or go to every meeting. Yikes talk about humbling oneself to say I made a mistake. this is going to be a great christmas and has already been two fun birthdays at our house.

and #16 getting to spend the first holiday with my parents and siblings (even if it's a 10 hour drive), in 13 years of not being able to, we also have my parents 50th anniversary on the 27th.
and they have snow!!

It's 2 AM...and Im soooo sad

i just put my jw husband on a plane to san fran so he can spend the entire holiday week out there, get this, dog sitting his nonjw brothers shitzus while he goes to visit family for christmas.
i told him i was going to miss him...and he replied, well "i wont miss christmas".
