this surprises you?
there were probably several reason why Bush decided to attack afghanistan without solid evidence against bin laden or the taliban.
a) he had to attack someone since the US public screamed for revenge.
b) the US gets additional bases in the area.
c) the oil buisness is without doubt of interest to Bush and the government.
d) they could pretend they also do it so they can help the poor people in that country against the taliban.

zech seems to be aware of spirits' and god's activity in everything that happens...may it be a cow dung dropping, an apple falling from a tree or a person not being killed in hiroshima because of a lucky coincidence.
i think it is pointless to try to make such a blinded person see. and besides he seems to be happy with this nonsense...so i think we should just let him be!

Weird Childhood Thoughts

the faygo one was my favorite & coke second) that the trib & big-a couldn't possibly come!!!
i also used to plan how i would hoard food & water in holes in my backyard that we wouldn't have to eat all the icky mice & insects my mom said we would have to live on.

Phallic Symbols
by Windchaser inthis morning as i was waiting for my ride into work, i was looking at the trees in my neighborhood.
i don't know what kind of trees they are, but some look like steeples.
i remembered how we were taught that church steeples were like phallic symbols pointing up into jehovah's nose.

The Enormous Price of Lack of Faith
by Zechariah intrusting god is far more than merely believing he exists.. i just this evening watched a senate session on cspan on the subject of delaying deciding on preemptive strikes against iraq.
it was very interesting to see how lack of trust in god causes irrational fear that people will be willing to sacrafice all their wealth, their comforts, and even the lives of their children.
without the belief that god exists and that spiritual forces exist there is hopelessness.

i was talking to an very sincere JW the other day and he told me the UN will attack religion world wide in the very near future ...according to WT that is the only prophecy that wasn't fullfilled yet.
