  Yeah fisherman, what harm was there in him answering the questions publicly? Why not? The questions were about him, not you. Don't be so sensitive.

  let me preface this by saying that i don't expect anyone here to make my decision for me.

  i do however note that like the bible says, in the multitude of counselors there is wisdom, and this is a huge decision, so i wanted to put it out there for discussion.

  i really appreciate your words of wisdom, as this affects not just me but my wife also, as we find ourselves in the same boat.

  Live your life without fear. Putting birthday candles in your shopping cart at the grocery store, don't try to hide them. Instead of thinking 'oh what if a witness sees me' think 'if a witness sees me, who cares. I get to do this and they don't, because they're still mentally trapped but I'm free.'

  Where are all these New Anointed Ones Coming from?

  back in the early 70s, right before 1975 we had about 7 or 8 thousand professed anointed.

  cant remember the exact number.

  but at every convention we were told that the end is close ---because---the number of anointed is getting smaller and smaller.

  the monsters inc. hierarchy taught its workforce to use scare tactics to achieve its goals.. it took sully & mikey to reveal that love & laughter was far more effective - and beneficial for everyone concerned!.

  i might go to the meeting.

  i stopped going in my heart properly in nov 2013, but i went to a couple of meetings to support a love one that was df'd and tried to teach them a little ttatt.. now another df'd loved one is coming to see me today and will likely encourage me to try and get ri'd, and i want to support her.

  I agree with fikelstein, it reinforces to them 'see, people are miserable who leave, and she wants to come back in her heart!'

  You are meeting with your friend for lunch. I would be totally honest with your friend (but gently. Not brutally honest.) tell her gently that you have done research, and the truth should be able to stand up to research if it's the truth.

  New Light! - Old bulb was getting dim.

  'this old bulb is about to go out, let's just unscrew this old light, screw this fresh one in, new light, we have new light!'.

  it's always bugged me how you only see big doctrinal changes, "new light," happen right around the same time the "old light," is about to blow out.. this "over-lapping generation," teaching is the perfect example, "old light" was about to be extinguished as being impossible to maintain, "new light brothers, we have new light!

  " and everyone is amazed, when all it is is a stop-gap fix.. "new light," is synonymous with, "buying time.

  I thought of another one: discovering the Great Crowd right when the number of witnesses was soon going to exceed 144,000. How many witnesses were there when that was announced? Wasn't it convenient this change was made in the nick of time?

  The 1995 Generation Change

  i was just a teenager and have a vivid memory of sitting in a chair doing a microphone for the sunday meeting.

  everyone was commenting that it didn't mean the end was far off, and it didn't change the condition of the dead, or the 144,000, or the trinity so we should still remain faithful.

  this is my first memory as a kid being just a teen that i ever had a single doubt.
