  truly their home is an enclave of peace in this mad, doomed, sybaritic world.

  what a contrast to the spiritual lunatic asylum inhabited by the apostates with their shrill cacophony, their puny fists, like the men of babylon, raised in anger to their creator!

  Jesus Christ taught us to love our neighbor as ourselves, as well to love our enemies.

  Look what the Scripture says about that:

  REVELATION 3:19:"All those whom I have affection I reprove and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent."

  Why such an extravagance in applying written words to your posts to convey your message here on this forum?

  Are you trying to impress me and others here with your pretentious writting?

  Why pretending to be an university scholar when you are not one? Some words you use on your posts belong in the dictionary only, in my opinion.

  No wonder you are a Watchtower Society's representative and not God's true representative:

  1 CORINTHIANS: 2:1,2,3,4,5: (1):" And so I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come with an extravagance of speech or of wisdom declaring the sacred secret of God to you. (2):" For I decided not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ, and him impaled. (3):" And I came to you in weakness and in fear and with much trembling; (4):" and my speech and what I preached were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a demonstration of spirit and power, (5):" that YOUR faith might be, not in men's wisdom, but in God's power."

  i have just had a conversation with my son who is 8 years old and don't know what to do.

  i'll start from the beginning so you understand.. as some may know my hubbie left me when i was still a witness for not believing the truth and also went off with another woman.

  i then after a few months met a man i fell in love with instantly.

  first of all, sorry for my bad english i'm from peru south america.

  there's a lot to tell but i'm going in this time to be brief, because i'm very busy.. i had been an elder for almost 8 years and a jh for more than 22 years.. i'm a searcher of the truth from the 10 years old.

  i grow as a catholic and got baptized as a jh at the age of 21.. in october of 2001 a jw friend ask me about the un&wt and bulgarian affair.

  Dear Watchtower member Know_You,

  The Watchtower Society taught me to praise my works to others, i.e: "I did so many hours in service today", "I gave so many Watchtower, Awake magazines today", "I better telephone- witness now since I don't have any hours in field service- I don't want to be inactive this month". e.t.c....

  Your traits of Watchtower indoctrination really show on your posts.

  MATTHEW 23:5:" All the works they do they do to be viewed by men; for they broaden the [scripture-containing] cases that they wear as safeguards, and enlarge the fringes [of their garments]."

  PROVERBS 27:2:"May a stranger, and not your own mouth, praise you; may a foreigner, and not your own lips, do so."

  ROMANS 12:17:" Return evil to evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men."

  ROMANS: 12:20:" But, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thristy, give him something to drink for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head.

  What are your thoughts on writing DA letters?

  as most of you know, i have been inactive for about 2 1/2 yrs and completely out for about 7 months.

  i am debating on wether or not to write a letter of da to the org or not.

  in some ways i just want closure, and on the other hand i dont want to play by their rules.

  Dear Shirley,

  I'am inactive also, and I intend to remain so, if possible. And I agree with Mulan's statement not to dissassociate from the Watchtower Society in writting.

  Why? Beacause:

  Handling a dissassociation letter to the Watchtower Society will result in your loss of being able to communicate with your loved ones and friends who are still in. Not writting them the DA letter gives you an opportunity to witness to your loved ones and also to the ones who have not shunned you as a result of your exit from the Watchtower Society (inactive status). By being in an inactive status you can witness to them - you can show them the real "truth" of this man-made organization as you find it opportune to do so.

  God's name

  ever notice how as a witness, you could not say "god" by itself.

  always had to be preceeded by jehovah, or just say jehovah.

  i remember my ex telling me that was the first sign that they knew i was on the way out, because i would refer to god simply as, "god".

  The Bible admonishes us to use Our Heavenly Creator's Holy Name:

  MATTHEW: 12:18,19,20,21 (18): " Look! My servant whom I chose, my beloved, whom my soul approved! I will put my spirit upon him, and what justice is he will make clear to the nations. (19): He will not wrangle, nor cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the broad ways. (20): " No bruised reed will he crush, and no smoldering flaxen wick will he extinguish, until he sends out justice with success. (21): "Indeed, in his name nations will hope."

  ROMANS:10:13: " For "everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved."

  JOHN 17:26: " And I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them."

  ISAIAH:"12:4,5,6: (4): And in that day you will certainly say:" Give thanks to Jehovah, you people! Make known among the peoples his dealings. Make mention that his name is put on high.(5):" Make melody to Jehovah, for he has done surpassingly. This is made known in all the earth.(6):" Cry out shrilly and shout for joy, O you inhabitress of Zion, for great in the midst of you is the Holy One of Israel."

  EXODUS 20:7:" You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way."

  it look like things that get produced these days by holyywood filled with f word, sex, violence, drug use and hurling.

  no movies hardly to take your kids to or that a christian can watch.

  SALVATION?? What is it really?

  just wondering what some of your thoughts were on this topic of salvation.

  i've heard alot about it and really want to believe it, but i am having such a hard time understanding about god and jesus christ since leaving the org.

  i am fed up with organized religion and am afraid to go to chuch.

  ISAIAH 26:13: " O Jehovah our God, other masters besides you have acted as owners of us. By you only shall we make mention of your name."

  REVELATION 7:10,:(10):"And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying:"Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb."

  REVELATION 7:11,12: (11):" And all the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell upon their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (12): saying:"Amen! The blessing and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strenght [be] to our God forever and ever. Amen."
