  sometimes when i think back about when i was a dub, i get a little embarrassed.

  i remember telling my kids not to draw on watchtower mags (i also had to tell their mother) i was a grown man and would let nerd elders counsel me for dumb things, like saying the word luck, or bulletin board.

  i remember getting to the end of the month and not having the cong average field service time and start to worry what the other elders and co would say.

  The life of a dub kid is Hell! Only dub kids will truely know what i mean..OUTLAW

  you can say that again...I was the only male witness kid that attended public

  school in the town i grew up in. Being singled out in front of an entire school

  over and over is far to much for a child to understand. If i have kids someday,

  i would never want them to have to go through what i did.

  ok, now that i have your attention................................... it seems like most of the witnesses i know, and who have posted here, say their parents kept them in the dark about sex.

  do you agree?

  my parents never discussed it at all- in fact- if they did- or saw a love scene on tv- my mom would always say "thats disgusting' (yeah, right mom) .

  the closest thing i ever got to a 'birds & bees" talk was having to read

  the chapter on masterbation in the YOUTH BOOK outloud in front of my

  parents when i was 12 or 13.

  Should we ever have a book burning party, lets start with that one!

  would someone who was a jw all his life (24 years) know he's not suppose to be giving/receiving oral sex?

  is it possible he might not have heard about this rule?

  does it not apply if the person is disfellowshipped?

  i know cassiline has alot of friends that monitor this board so i thought i would post a surgery status on cassiline to let everyone who cares about her know how everything is going.

  first of all, i would like to say thank you to the owner of this board, friends and aquintances of cassinline, for all the help you have provided not olny for her but for others that are out there with problems who seek the assistance from people that have a similar state of understanding about the jw religion.

  A Newbie Introduction

  i am a "newbie" that has been "lurking" and commenting on a couple of posts over the last six months.

  i was somewhat intimidated by some of the comments on the board so i didn't feel comfortable in introducing myself.

  this gem is from the aug.1st wt.

  it tells about how in one south american country, every year witnesses walk for miles through the jungle and then travel for hours by canoe just to make the convention.

  it is not uncommon for someone to fall into the river or to snag his garments on a bush,therefore their appearance is not quite appropriate.they look somewhat disheveled.
