As JWs "celebrate" a century of failed prophecy and cover-ups, what could we look forward to in their next 100 years? How much longer can they remain relevant in this ever changing society?

1914 real generation vs Watchtower "this generation".
by tenene ini know it has been discussed a number of times on this forum, but this issue is so complicated and almost impossible to understand.
what is a generation in real terms?
watchtower spin doctors managed to buy this organization another 100 years of existence/business just by playing around with this word..

GAD amongst JWs and/or ex-JWs.
by tenene ini have been following the oscar pistorius trial, and as some of you would know, the way he grew up is said to have affected his psychy.
he's said to traumatised and disturbed by his past.
do we know if there are any ex-jws who were also diagnosed with the same or similar kind of mental illness/disorder?

2014! Why are we still here? 100 years since Jesus came back according to JWs.
by tenene inhello, i have been offline for quite some time and i know this might have been discussed a great deal, but its burning me, hence i am raising this issue again.
this is also to help the newbies and lurkers.
i thought the 1914 generation would have long passed by at this point and time, and believe they have come up with a new spin to the whole generation issue.

I thought the 1914 generation would have long passed by at this point and time, and believe they have come up with a new spin to the whole generation issue. Please update us because some of us have not been to the meetings in 5 years since discovering the truth about the truth and been following JW shananigans closely.
But this pas Saturday i bumped into and elderly couple in their late 70s on street work. i raised the 1975 fiasco with them but they kept telling me that as human beings we make mistakes, and they actually conceded to the fact that FW Franz lied to the organization and the public at large by his end of the world predictions.

This generation will by now means pass away..."
by Jewel ini haven't been to a meeting (other than some cousins' weddings) for well over twenty years.
i've always wondered what the fds was going to do with the "generations" thing once pretty much everybody who had been alive in 1914 is gone.
i get that they've come up with some "new light" about this topic, but when i ask my mom (who's still in) i only get "well, the new understanding is complicated...".

Slow fade vs instant fade

Quitt while in good standing, and try to remain in that state as long as possible. come up with endless excuses like working overtime/multiple jobs, hopefully until the elders give up on you.
After all they couldn't DF one if there is no evidence of apostacy or breaking of any JW policy.
