Quitt while in good standing, and try to remain in that state as long as possible. come up with endless excuses like working overtime/multiple jobs, hopefully until the elders give up on you.

After all they couldn't DF one if there is no evidence of apostacy or breaking of any JW policy.

Advice needed please.

i've been a lurker here for about a year and a half.

i am a baptised jw(born-in).. i was a publisher in good standing until about last december when i stopped putting in fs time as well as attending meetings and conventions including this year's memorial.. i no longer believe in the teachings of the watchtower society.. about 3 weeks ago an elder and a ms from my cong came to ny house uninvited and told me they were just checking on me and wanted to find why i haven't been to the meetings for such a long time.

they told me it was not an official visit, but sort of hinted to me that if i don't show up then i might be getting an official one soon.

I have read some of the topics here of those who've done it almost successfully, i'm saying almost because i believe it's very difficult to be completely off the radar, especially with family in.

I am planning on moving away from my territory, but it's not gonna happen overnight, so for now it's all about how to survive while i'm still here.

They told me it was not an official visit, but sort of hinted to me that if i don't show up then i might be getting an official one soon. well i thanked them for stopping by and told them i'll be at the meetings. 3 weeks have passed and i haven't been to any meeting, i have'nt heard anything yet.

The problem is i don't know what i'd say to the elders when they come for a visit. I don't want to DA or DF because my mom is a JW. I want to fade while in good standing.

It,s a shame to what's happened of tha all-powerful Jehovahs organisation that was all about warning and rescuing people from the evil world about to be destroyed.

Now it's all about their own survival, how ironic.
