Had these people not come out in the media and put them on the spot nothing would have ever been said or no policy like this would have ever been adopted. I don't really believe they will follow this so called policy and I think they're basically just full of B.S. trying to save their face, but I do hope I am wrong so more children don't have to suffer.

starting tomorrow, i will be filling in the blank each day with the name of a "person of significance" that goes with the city, county and state.

it's up to you to decide what this list is about ... feel free to add your own list of persons of significance.

i cannot say anything negative that is untrue about such persons lest i libel them ... such as i could not tell you if any of these names are part of the list of 23,770, because i cannot prove it, and i don't have access to that list ... but as long as what i post is the truth, then that is my defense ... and may the watchtower dare to bring about a lawsuit ... nbc dateline and bbc panorama will also be invited to the party ... .

Embarrassed

sometimes when i think back about when i was a dub, i get a little embarrassed.

i remember telling my kids not to draw on watchtower mags (i also had to tell their mother) i was a grown man and would let nerd elders counsel me for dumb things, like saying the word luck, or bulletin board.

i remember getting to the end of the month and not having the cong average field service time and start to worry what the other elders and co would say.

as witnesses, we were frequently counselled to either do or not do things on the basis of not injuring the consciences of others.

to give an example, i used to always grow a beard whilst i was on vacation.

note, i am not particularly hung up on the right to wear a beard, i do not wear one now and i was never too bothered about shaving it off when i returned from vacation.. however, one year i didnt shave the vacation growth off immediately.

i for one actually agree with the comments made by invisible, americans on the whole are a nation that dominates the world through bullying.. america is the big kid in the playground nicking everyones lunch money.. i live in the us but will move away soon.

what happened on 9/11 was unbelievably , god awful and so sickening that i cant watch those planes hit the twin towers without feeling nauseated.. this may hurt but.........america brought his on themselves.

the world has had enough of their politics their machoism and their greed.

A bit of a mess

hi,i just came back from visiting some relatives in the south of france yesturday.

it seams though that my wife has got us into a bit of an akward situation.she hasn't told any of her family in france that i no longer believe in the religion of jehovahs witnesses.in fact they all think i am a ministerial servent in the congregation at home.

i don't speak much french, and didn't know untill recently that she hadn't told anyone we don't go to meetings etc.shes afraid her mum and grandmother will have a big shock if they find out , or at worse she will disinherited from quite a substantial amount of money.

Far as what to do about it I agree it is a awkward situation for you and I"m not sure what I would do in your shoes to be completely honest. I guess though since they live in France and all that maybe it is possible to just say nothing as long as possible.
