i have an 84 year old customer that comes in every week with just a ton of "groaner" type jokes for me.
i am never prepared with any jokes in return, so i'm hoping y'all can assist.
i would like to start this thread with hopes you can post your really bad jokes...clean preferably.
A brunette received a dozen roses at work from her husband.
The blonde in the cubical next to her said "You must be very happy that your husband thinks so much of you to send you flowers."
The brunette replied "Not really, this just means that I will be on my back all night with my legs in the air."
The blonde said "Have you ever thought about using a vase?"
it's common practice for dubs to end their prayers with words that indicate that they are being made "in jesus' name" i.e.
through the mediatorship of jesus.
more than that, dubs listening to congregation prayers would be aghast if the prayer leader omitted the words "through jesus christ" as the concluding remark of his prayer.

while it has been fairly well established that the wt monitors this site, i believe that it is not the only body doing so.
this site, and others like it, are open to anyone, anywhere in the world w an internet connection.
all this is available, not just to individuals, but also to advertising adgencies, intelligence agencies, corporations, etc.

You rarely offer information about yourself in these posts, you have no bio, your email is locked and you seem to have all the latest WT and Awake magazines. You also stated that in over 4 decades of being a JW you have gotten to know many prominent elders and Bethelites. I must admit, it has caused me to wonder if you are still a witness or not. How come you want all this information anyway?
Whereas I am fairly certain that you are harmless, your unwillingness to give out personal information while you dig through ours, has caused me to be very careful about which posts of yours I respond to. Not because I am afraid of the society but because if a stranger started asking me some of the questions that you ask, in such rapid succession, I would think that they are rude, and overly nosey.

did see some great meteor showers last August. I got up in the middle of the night and saw so many shooting stars (meteors) and some just sizzled as they arched overhead. It was AWESOME

Awesome is a word that comes to mind. Magical is another. It's sad to think that this will be the last Leonid shower for close to 30 years. I love them so much and they are the only reason that I look forward to this time of the year.

i went to the doctor yesterday and he said that i was too thin and that i need to gain 5 or 10 pounds.
i don't understand why.
He even wanted to give me some medication to increase my appetite. I refused it and said that I would try it on my own

That is a very good question. I have been doing everything in my power to put on 10 to 15 lbs and nothing is working. When I was a skinny kid, I ate Weight On, which was yukky and did nothing to add any pounds. To me, it is easier to lose weight than gain.
I look forward to hearing some suggestions.
