Hi: This is Ronin1:
The New York Newsday, Wednesday, May 8, 2002 just ran a story on the
child molestation and Bill Bowen and Barbara Pandelo. The story is on page A15 titled: "Jehovah's Witnesses Allege Sexual Abuse".
Ronin1
i just saw bill bowen on a television spot on wpsd tv out of paducah, kentucky.
they stated that bill will be defending himself against charges of "causing divisions" in the jw church.. bill stated that he 'still considers himself a jw in good standing and wishes to remain that way'.
also, the anchors made mention of bill's website, even giving his url.

i'm a new poster and i know this subject has been touched on many times before after 911, but its amazing that a terrorist act that killed so many seemed to inject a little spark in many jws.
my jw brother (mini-servant) called the morning of the disaster and his first words to me was "i'm glad i'm on jehovah's side!
"...duh what does jehovah got to do with that!
Hi:
This is Ronin1:
I was in a building two (2) blocks away from ground zero on 9/11. I saw the first plane hit/crash and watched the building slowing going down in a ball of fire.
I did not think at that moment: "Wow!, I glad I am on Jehovah's side or Wow!, I am glad Jehovah's with me. My thoughts were how were we going to escape from our building and get out of downtown. Jah did not have a special plan to protect only me, a JW and I did not think like that.
It wasn't until 1:30 in the afternoon that many of us left our building and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. When I passed Brooklyn Bethel, I saw no concerned "brothers" out their trying to help us or give us water, as some witnesses have spread the story. The entire properties on Brooklyn Bethel were like a ghost town, vacant. I believe it was later found out that Brooklyn Bethel was on "lockdown" when 9/11 happened.
Needless to say, I was thankful to Jah that I made it home alive. But I was also thankful that most of my fellow workers at my job did so also. We lost two (2) employees at my job to 9/11 because they had gone over to WTC to have business meetings that day.
Jah is on the side of all those righteously deposed of his will and purposes. He did not pick who lived that day or died. But many will be remembered by him.

if you darn apostates would keep up with the latest rags and attend the meetings against your will, you would see for yourself the direct link between the governing body and the appointment of elders.. in the last study of the march 15, 2002 watchtower, page 14 paragraph 7 gives you the damning evidence that you have been looking for.. ...our leader uses this governing body to appoint qualified men--whether spirit-anointed or not--as elders in the local congregations...the recommendations and appointments are made after prayer and under the guidance of the holy spirit.
additionally, the individuals appointed give evidence of producing the fruitage of that spirit...these appointed men receive direction from the governing body and willingly shepherd the congregation.
in this way, christ is with us now and is actively leading the congregation.. can the italicized portion above be any clearer?
This is Ronin 1:
Help me out.
What spirit?

ok, the obvious choice is the writing department.
but, my hands down favorite is the lame-ass "art department.
" perhaps if they had allowed their members to explore the world of the arts, they wouldn't have been stuck with people who basically draw nothing but stick figures.. my daughter is 12 and her drawings have more depth than most of what appears in the magazines and publications.. any other nominees, or is the art department gonna run away with it?.
Lisa:
The worst Bethel Department is the Legal Department. Why? Because they are so wicked and evil they make Satan look good.

over a week ago i shared that my husband was stepping down as an elder last wednesday.. well, for all those inquiring minds that want to know, my husband's efforts were a total bust.
first he talked to one elder who adamantly refused to accept his resignation.
he encouraged and demanded that he stay.

No I have not considered going to other churches.
I'm content with what I have decided to do right now.
Thanks,

Hi Blondie:
You are absolutely right.
Thanks,

well now we have it, what appears to be the pre-emptive strike from wt.. as of this friday three families who appeared on the dateline program have been informed judicial committees have been setup with a one week notice and it is alleged that they have been causing "divisions" within the organization.
i got my letter today, barbara anderson got hers yesterday and the other family earlier this week.. if you were a pr firm would you think it to be a good idea or a bad idea to df everyone a couple of weeks before the dateline program airs?
what do you think the american public will think of such a move?.
Bill:
Hit them as hard as you can with bad publicity. They are not going to stop trying to hurt you and the others. Therefore, as Malcomn X stated: "By any means possible".
Do what you have to do to make them look very----------bad.

for a privileged few, you get an article with your lifes story published in the wt.
most at least receive a grand send off with a kh memorial service.. my father passed away a couple of weeks ago.
he was just shy of his 89th birthday.
Hi:
This is Ronin1:
I do not personally know you but I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father and your daughter. You do not have to be in the Borg to know that Jehovah cared about them and that they are in his memory.
Please know that the loss of love you did not receive at your fathers service you receive double from us on this post.

Hi Blondie:
Unforunately, the so-called "friends" in our congs round about do not even keep in contact with us. If we do not make it to a meeting, they do not call to inquire about us or to make sure we are ok. The only ones that show a caring attitude are our landlords who are also in our congregation and who's husband is an elder. They have known me since I was young because I grew up and around with their children. So we have always been friends.
And some of our family members to not call or refuse to talk to us because we emotionally and morally support my three (3) brothers-
one (1) who is disfellowship, one (1) who was an elder but was deleted on false charges, and one (1) who decided enough was enough with the Borg and my twin sister who is disfellowshiped. None of my brothers or my twin sister has returned to the borg and we suppport their decision and we made sure we let all our family members know.
So we are basically shunned by other family members for that and we do not care.
So I only go to the meetings on a Sunday when I want to hear a Bible talk, not to keep up with friends I really do not have.

Hi Carmel:
Sometimes I just feel like hearing a Bible talk. I really do not think any church is better than the other, so listening to a Bible talk by the borg is not so bad.
