does anyone know why the watchtower named their bible the new world translation of the holy scriptures?
it's been awhile since i have even had any of their books in my home, and most of the time i don't think about it.
i don't know why, but when i think of that title, the phrase new world order keeps popping up in my mind..
From the title pages in the NWT:

So I guess the New World is the post Armageddon paradise.

(1)how many of you out there, back when you were still a jw, heard the bros say "yeah the cong is a little cold cos of <insert scapegoat here>, but there is genuine love among the country congs/ the foreign lang congs etc??

Staying with the topic of love, you could always discuss the 'faith without works' verses with her (Ja 2:14)
The WT version is all about the ministry, the Bible version is all about helping one another in charitable ways. A big difference!
Read it together with her in context - that will be a new experience to her on it's own - James 2:1 - 20.
Knowing what the bible really says about this, now you can ask her how the WT demonstrates its' works to the poor by using its millions and billions of $$$, or even within your local congregation.
The question from verse 20 remains:
" But do you care to know, O empty man, that faith apart from works is inactive?"

There is a significant fee to the Assembly Hall for handling a reversal in this way.

At the conventions, sisters won't even be given an Attendants badge when they are officially attending in a hi-vis top.
This is true even if they have been through the same training as the brothers, and might be even better qualified due to their secular work (eg nurses).

How wrong and hurtful it is to spread confidential information about someone! Even so, when serious sin has been committed, those Scripturally obligated to handle the matter—the elders in the congregation—should be informed. (Read Leviticus 5:1.) So if we know that a brother or a sister has fallen into such wrongdoing, we should encourage that one to approach the elders and seek their help. (Jas. 5:13-15) If he or she does not do so within a reasonable period of time, though, we should report the wrongdoing.
