My favourite verse for these constantly changing teachings is Galatians 2:18:
"For if the very things that I once threw down I build up again, I demonstrate myself to be a transgressor."

the article addressed luke 20:34-36 and now they finally admit jesus could have been referring to the heavenly resurrection.
they said "put simply, the answer is that we cannot say" which is surprising because they have something to say about everything.
perhaps all the old people who are waiting the new world as widow and widowers want to know if they have a chance to be reunited with their dead loved one.

jehovah's witnesses to hand over top-secret manualon friday finland's jehovah's witnesses will give their religious rule book to the minister of justice and the minister of the interior so that it can be inspected to ensure that it's in line with finnish rule of law.
jehovah's witnesses will hand over their secret rule book to the minister of justice, anna-maja henriksson, and the minister of the interior, paivi rasanen.
image: heikki saukkomaa / lehtikuva until now, only senior members of the jehovahs witnesses committee have had access to the congregation's secret book of rules.. the disciplinary activities of the jehovah's witnesses committee have been criticised for violating human rights.. according to anna-maja henriksson, finland's minister of justice, the purpose of the handover is to examine the book and determine whether its rules and regulations run counter to finnish law.. henriksson and interior minister paivi rasanen met on thursday with the leadership of the jehovah's witnesses in helsinki.
Of course, the Minister of Justice will not receive all of the hand written notes that every elder is instructed to add into their books during elder schools and from CO's letters when they visit.
Very clever - they pre-empted this already.

The story so far...
YES - 1943 “The Truth Shall Make You Free” p.362 - 364
[Evil ones] will not come forth [in the resurrection] to take part in the divine mandate [filing the earth], because that will have been completed by the Lord's "other sheep".
NO - w50 10/15 p. 381 “Be Fruitful, Multiply, Fill the Earth”
Nor will the resurrected multitudes be privileged to do so, for Jesus plainly stated that such will not marry nor be given in marriage
Even survivors won't marry - w54 9/15 p. 575 Questions From Readers
After that final test there will definitely be no marrying or being given in marriage then by those counted worthy of the new world and having the right to eternal life, just as angels have that right
YES - w54 9/15 p. 575 Questions From Readers
It is even reasonable and allowable to entertain the comforting thought that those of the other sheep who now die faithful will have an early resurrection and live during the time when the procreation mandate is being fulfilled and when paradise conditions are being spread earth-wide and that they will share in this divinely given service.
NO - w61 11/15 p. 704 Questions From Readers
for dead ones with spiritual, heavenly hopes and for dead ones with earthly Paradisaic hopes the rule enunciated by Jesus Christ stands unaltered: “In the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage
NO - w67 10/15 p. 638 Questions From Readers
Jesus’ words apply to the earthly resurrection, and they indicate that those resurrected will not marry or be reunited in a marriage relationship with former mates.
YES / MAYBE - w14 8/1 page 29+30, questions from readers
"Could Jesus be referring only to the heavenly resurrection?" "It is possible"

matt 28:19 "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit,.
i don't ever remember hearing at my baptism nor any other baptism of a jw.
the person giving the baptism talk or person doing the dunking saying that i/we are baptized in the name of the father, son and holy spirit.. so i have come to the conclusion that my/our baptism's are not official.
Besides, what the WT teach today is completely different to what I agreed with at the time of my baptism.
This is no longer the same religion that I was baptised into.

please join with me, and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic wt with the front cover which boldly proclaimed that the generation of 1914 would never pass away.. the cover date of the that wt is infact this very day so let us raise a glass to this clear sign they have god's backing:.
in this the 100th anniversary of our lords return (invisibly of course brothers) it is a fine and appropriate thing to do..
"Will not" pass away. Can't get much clearer than that.
This was the 1980's equivilent of Russell's "Millions now living" campaign.
I think we're due for a new one anytime now, wonder what the catchphrase will be this time?
"Will you Live Forever? (Ps 37:29)"

we've heard from friends in two separate congregations in our city that convention security will be tight.. the brothers made announcements this week and reminded everyone to be sure to wear their name badges.
those that don't may be questioned and have their belongings searched.
the same will be happen to anyone arriving during the sessions.
I'm attending again at this years DC so I'll see if we are given any different instructions compared to previous years.
If anything the security last year was reduced due to the 'watcher' teams being disbanded and included into the regular attendant teams.

i found on another thread a quote from awake 1967 aug 22,page 27-28. it's from an article where the wt proves that women should acquiesce to their husbands.
within the article i found something that suggests more intellectual dishonesty from the wt writers.. that it is in the best interests of both.
sexes for man to take the lead is also supported.
I'm always surprised at how the Soc will quote certain external sources, giving them weight and credence, but then demonise other outside sources.
One moment we're told not to believe scientists, then we read wt quotes from scientists.
So which is it? Are jw's allowed to read outside sources or not?
The answer, of course, is
1. Only when they are GB sanctioned sources
2. Only while the GB consider the statements to be valid.
At any time either of those two conditions can change, then suddenly any use of those sources makes us apostate.

i just wanted to openly apologize to anyone that i have ever offended on this website.
i have been thinking about this lately.
we all seem to go through the same various stages of learning ttatt, anger, sorrow, frustration, bible champion, agnostic, atheist, ect.
It's a healing process - I'm pleased you're getting it out of your system.

Our elders try to 'keep the peace' in the congregation.
If a local gossip starts a rumour, the elders investigate the one being accused and even if there's no evidence they ask them to make adjustments "for the sake of the congregation". It's created lots of problems.
They frequently use their own judgement instead of following the rules.
One day they will do this and expose themselves to some serious comeback.

so we all know about this new donation arrangement.?.
every cong is supposed to send in all their savings to the society for them to allocate or use however they see fit worldwide.. but here is where true "selfishness" has become apparent!
(remember just this last weekend the wt study was all about not being "selfish" or self willed??!!).
kaik They also have to support CO, pay his gas and travel expenses, provide cooking, laundry, etc
Don't forget the iPads they were all given, that's going to bump up the costs.
