i first asked myself, why does the wts sometimes use the word “servant” then “slave”?

I found in every congregation, that the really humble people were those who did not judge others and whether they had value to their god or to the congregation.

I have seen that to be the case also. and usually those people are the quite elderly, and/or physically or financially limited. When my mother developed dementia she was routinely ridiculed and ignored. My father was completely cut-off from the congregation in his final years of life. I have ZERO USE for those hypocrite pieces of s--t! But they all sure had a lot of use for my parents when they could leech of them financially and take up their time with nonsense B.S.

latest WT, advice for Bible Studies

our goal is to help our bible student to grow spiritually.. .

as his love for jehovah grows, however, he will likely begin to think about how he can help others, including those who are already part of the congregation.

Outrageous.....too bad there likely is no way to rescind the donation....by law they have to ackowledge the receipt of the funds as a charitable(gag) organization.

What makes it even more odious is that they had the nerve to try to demand that I sell the United States Savings Bonds, and the stock certificates and send them the cash rather than signing the documents over to them directly! THAT idiotic request I turned down flat. If I had done that I would not only have had to give them the proceeds of my father's investments I would have had to pay over twenty years of U.S. Internal Revenue Services capital gains taxes myself as I would have been the initial recipient. No way to deduct them as per my tax advisor, and no way to credit the bequest as a "donation" as it was a bequest in a will. I am still seething over that B.S.!

PIMO Elder with a Dilemma

i haven’t been on here in awhile and this is my second user name because i was busted by my pimi wife on the first one.

i have been basically awake since 2013. i have a super dub wife that i love and don’t want to lose and my sick mom in the hall that is a true believer.

stupid religion has gotten between my wife and i (of course).

Consider using the other elders unloving actions to your advantage.

Reminds me of something from my childhood. One of the first times I was tasked with milking the cows. We had a cow that always would lean on you as you tried to milk her. I pushed back on her trying to get her to move over. The harder I pushed, the harder she leaned. After watching for a time my father said, "Son, I will show you how to get her to mover over." He stepped beside me and began to PULL her towards us. The harder he pulled, the more she resisted, and at the right time he suddenly pushed, and off balance she took two steps away from us.

I have used that psychological tactic many times to my advantage. In front of others I will seemingly "pull" them towards me using either their exact words or slight variations of them. Of course they naturally resist as they cannot allow themselves to agree with me, and then at the exact right time I suddenly "push" by using MY words to make my point. Of course if they disagree at that time it shows them up for doing or saying something hypocritical.

the so-called caliph, one of the most evil men in human history, has blown himself up along with three of his young children while being pursued by american special forces.. the ambition of isis was to expand the territory of the caliphate under the leadership of al-baghdadi to whom individual jihadists swear allegiance.

now isis have nowhere to call home and no leader.

what a pathetic bunch of losers.. they will of course appoint a new caliph and reprisal attacks will no doubt follow in western capitals by christmas but the more contemptible they appear they less likely it is that young men and women will join their delusional cause.. respect to the elite forces who hunted him down - those on the front line and the many intelligence specialists who made it possible.

And in the U.S. Schiff-head is whining that President Trump did not tell him about the COVERT operation ahead of time. Imagine if Trump would have been foolish enough to do that. Schiff-head and Pelousy would have "leaked" the information to the media, and when the operation then failed they would have been crowing about what a failure Trump was. Just sayin'

What happens to Bethelites?

so if someone puts their life into serving the cult for free at bethel, then say after 25 or 30 years they are not able to for one reason or another such as illness, or family issue or old age, does the cult have any safety net for these people or is it you serve until you can't and when you can't you just go away?

You give your whole life to service of a loving god but when you are in need of this unconditional love, the people that are meant to love you show it by discarding of you without a second thought. Not a very loving move is it? Even “worldly people wouldn’t do this”.

Yet all the comments today fell in line with society's thinking....

Some comments I heard today: "Always think positive about any changes you have to make." "Do not draw undue attention to yourself by talking about any negative feelings. People will feel your negativity and not want to be your friend."

Then, if they get old or sick or are surplus to requirements, they will be unceremoniously dumped with no unemployment benefit, health insurance or pension.

Oh, but the WT has lovingly provided advice on "Adjusting To A New Assignment". Things like pray more, go door knocking more, don't try to be financially secure, others can give you money or material belongings, remember this life is only temporary and you will be in paradise forever...SOON.

When the time is right, do not hold back from mentioning the privilege of supporting the Kingdom work financially.

Ah yes, the constant subtle (and not so subtle) begging for money, just like the churches they claim to be better than. Of course it is because they have fallen away from the true teachings of Jesus Christ who reportedly said, ". . .You received free, give free." (Matthew 10:8)

As I have commented before, after ethically sending in a large nearly seven figure bequest from my father's estate the greedy money grubbing leeches sent a letter asking if that was all, or if I was going to send them more. And to date ten months later still not one damned word of thanks for what they did get!

i hear some people say that if you are a republican or democrat that you must not be very educated, intelligent or monetarily stable.

do you think it’s proper to paint any person as less than favorable because of their political opinions?

I've never seen it as polarized as it is today. There are some real "haters" on both sides of the debate.

And I am sure that it would logically follow that there are "good people on both sides"?
