Uncle Bruce

he's found a new love in his life, and i would like to share him and her with all of you who know and love him as i do.

Thoughts on The Apostle Paul

so, i'm just rambling on right now.
i got to thinking, are many of the divisions in christianity caused by the writings of the apostle paul?

What makes them different

isn't it easy to spot jw's?
not only by the way they dress, but also by the way they crowd up cars.. just about every time i see 4 or more people in a car, especially when driving slowly, i know they are jehovah witnesses.. what other traits do they alone have?

bible studys over the years.. yet they still cnat pin him down,or are ever likely to ,he said to myself recently now that your not attending the meetings anymore,maybee you will now take note and listen ,we went back and forth agreeing that the society aserts a controling influence upon the sheep like ones,we coverd all manner of corresponding dates given by the society showing them all to have been sanctioned by the founding members ,whom where using the measurments of the pyramids andthe star constalations to try predict the begining and end of the system.. what came next was a shock,do you wanna read on ,??????

It's that smug look on their faces. You know the one... 'heh, we've got the tooth and we want to share it with you but your probably not going to listen to us and die while we live forever' look.
In reality it's not much different than the look you see on moonies, scientologists, hari krishna's..., but when you combine that smug look with a book bag; you know it's a dub.

Paul is the dominant writer in the Greek Scriptures and he definately was a fanatic. But the new testament as it exists aren't all the Christian writings that existed at the time it's compilation. Apparently there were many other gospels and letters around. The new testament as we know it was compiled at the council of Nicea in 325. The heads of the fledgling Christian church only chose those gospels and letters wich fitted their already preconceived notion of what Christianity should be. The church leaders then went on a massive rampage to destroy as many of these other 'heretical' wriitings as they could. If more of the early Jewish Christian writings had been included, would Paul's influence have been so great?
