i'm so upset and angry at the same time.
i move in less than 2 weeks and was supposed to be getting help off "brothers" to move and one of them was driving the van and now the elders have had a meeting and told the brothers they can't help coz i'm separated from my (abusive) jw husband and with moving it puts the chances of reconciliation (of which there was zero chance) even further away.
where are these stupid rules that they come up with.
Wow! Sorry to hear that. Over here in Australia we have the Salvation Army that one can go to if in need of assistance. Is there maybe a similar organization where you are? May be better not to feel like you owe anyone anything and make a clean break.

Wow! I remember thinking how stupid it was to tell the world (JWs) to send their letters by the 1st when the hearing was the 5th. For those on the other side of the world the letters wouldn't arrive until after it was all over and therefore pretty pointless but it seems the mindless blind followers didn't bother thinking about this and Instagram and Facebook were full of posts of letters written that would never be read.

for general information i am now 19 years old, and living by myself.
for the past 1 year (more like 1.5 years) i have been quietly fading out of the hypocrisy of this organization, but since i still live in the town i grew up in it has been hard, and filled with different challenges.
They already said you would get disfellowshiped when they met with you the first time. What is the point of the JC meeting? Just so they can say they followed proper procedure and tick the box on whatever forms go to HQ.
Like everyone says, going now only gives them the impression that you accept their authority over you. Do you? No and rightly so.
No need to communicate with them at all, ever. They will disfellowship you anyway.

facebook is great for finding old friends.
i found a friend who is an ex witness who i haven't seen for about 7 years coz she left the society and we lost touch and i got in contact with her the other day on facebook and she came for tea earlier and we had a great time talking about experiences of the wts and it's strange doctrines and remembering our school days.
we chatted for about 5 hours and are going to keep in touch.
I got my brother back. He left years ago and while I didn't shun him, the relationship did change. It's nice now to be able to have open and honest conversation with him and my sister in law.

my parents are super dubs and most of my siblings are dubs (on paper - a couple have been inactive my entire life but still claim to believe) with the exception of a brother who was never baptized.
Good for you. Stick to your resolution. If they won't have a relationship with you then why should you allow them to have your child in their care to indoctrinate in your absence.

You could just refuse to talk at the doors due to anxiety. No one wants to work with ones too anxious to do their half of the doors. If you do find someone happy to have you walk with them while they do the doors you can just see it as getting exercise.
After a while you can refuse to go altogether because you don't feel it right to count time witnessing when you actually don't witness and you still can't do it due to anxiety.
You can then say you will stick to informal witnessing. Done.

how do the 'anointed' come to the conclusion that they are chosen?
is it some weird collective delusion of grandeur and how is it manifested in such ones?.
I was always told that they got to know a "special song" that only anointed ones would just spontaneously get in their head and that would be their evidence of being a chosen one. This was because of Revelation 14:3
