  i ran into an older sister who has always been very sweet.. it was a friendly chat...yet she pushed for a reason why my family have been missing from meetings for some time.

  the question was deflected, until it just had to be said: "well, there have been some troubling and disturbing issues about the society especially the way things were handled during the royal commission, as well as many other issues".. she quickly cut in and said "but why would you want to know these things?

  its best not to research and look at those sort of things - so we don't get upset!".

  Is downloading Jw application dangerous?

  hi, everybody.. romor has it that here in japan, downloading jw application is dangerous because once.

  you download it, borg will know your every activity on the internet.. is this true?.

  does anybody know about that kind of thing?.

  Everybody should go to a pornsite for a minute before visiting the WTBS website. That would give them something to investigate.

  Or a JW Match site... to show them how desperate for marriage/sex their followers are.

  the boe project owes her for helping it to get started.. example:.

  several years ago there was a website called (dirtclod.com) who had the courage to display the boes right out in front of everybody.

  Wow, I'm so very humbled for this attention, Atlantis.

  I would be completely remiss were I not to mention the other helpful individuals who contributed to the efforts.

  First of all, the owner of dirtclod.com who wished to remain anonymous, which is now defunct (but clips are available on the internet archive - formerly known as the Waybackmachine), made these BoE letters available as an archive, and were shared here.

  Elsewhere was instrumental in setting up the 'packages' for download and links were made available here.

  Then there was the matter of the Public Talk Outline archive. The originals were provided to me by SnakesInTheTower, and while I scanned them, NathanNatas provided the genius in compiling the PDFs of these into collections, and uploading them to websites where JWD members could easily download them for their own use.

  I know I don't post here as often as I once did, but I'm glad to know that these archives have helped people in their research of the WTS, and to come to know The Truth About The Truth™. I wouldn't have been able to do this alone, it required the coordinated efforts of my compatriots and esteemed colleagues here, including Atlantis who has made so many older WT Publications™ available in PDF format, long before the WTS ever did, and including so many Publications™ that the WTS would hope to put out of existence to preserve the illusion they wish to create in the minds of their followers.

  The battle is far from over, friends, but every day someone somewhere is leaving the JWs because of what they are learning online and because we will never stop exposing them for their lies, their money-grubbing corruption, and their pathological attitude toward their followers. What started out as a small grass-roots effort has become a major thorn in their sides. When I joined JWD in 2001, we only knew the tip of the iceberg in terms of the child sexual abuse scandal among the JWs. We could not have imagined seeing the Governing Body™ having their feet held to the fire by the Australian Royal Commission. And yet through the efforts of individuals working together, these rat bastards are being taken to task. The JWs ranks are shrinking. The Organization™ is bleeding money. People are voting with their feet and closing their wallets. The swan song will come, but we must continue putting the pressure on the Organization™, and making information accessible to those who want it as they search for honest answers about the Watchtower Society.

  Congratulations, friends. We are all part of the solution, together.

  Memorial 2016

  the memorial is on march 23 this year.

  but all the official jewish calendars has nissan 14 as april 22!

  april 22 is the start of passover!

  WT's way of determining the date for The Memorial™ has always been

  the first full moon following the spring equinox

  The spring equinox is usually around March 20-21, and from there they decide when the full moon will be visible over Jerusalem. Sometimes it coincides with Passover or Easter, but often times it doesn't.

  Nisan 14 in 2016 falls on April 22. I wonder how the average JW would reconcile that discrepancy?

  Does the WT attract needy dysfunctional type of people?

  in your personal experience, do you think that the wt attracts needy types of people?

  over the years, my experience is that they do attract very needy, insecure, dysfunctional, types.

  i had an acquaintance that i just basically cut off.

  Needy people are attracted to those who are confident, and JWs behave in a confident way. The WTS is very confident in their message (even though it's wrong!) and that gives a needy personality an anchor to cling to. Neediness is a form of social anxiety, and the (false) confidence of the WTS and JWs helps an anxious individual to have some manner of tending to their anxiety, helping them focus on something other than themselves and their fears. The WTS offers them hope that if they just do such-and-such, they'll learn to be like so-and-so, who is confident and able to get up on the Platform™ and speak to an audience, or go Door-to-Door™ and speak with authority to complete strangers.

  They could learn the same skill set by going to Toastmasters, but Toastmasters doesn't recruit Door-to-Door™.
