LDS membership figures inadvertently supports Wt as been true and accurate
by joe134cd init not only reflects, but it would verify that wt statistics are true and accurate.
herein, are my reasons why.. lds general conference, which is the equivalent of the jw memorial, has an attendance of around 20 million ( that's people, who physically turn up).
however, the people choosing this online option is the unknown in this equation.. lets now look at 2 different scenarios for lds general conference to see how this compares to the jws: .

I don’t see a connection? I sincerely believe both groups are lying and the jws probably even more so then the Mormons. All cults lie about their numbers! The jws right now are telling their followers about all their growth yet are sell off Kingdom Halls.

Rec'd a letter from my Dad - need some advice...
by Fadeaway3pointer infader here - last meeting was in autumn 2005. lurker on this site and others.
not one to get all controversial.. typical situation, pretty much a born in and left the church at age 38 and never looked back.. i'm 53 now, parents getting older - late 70s but very active, dad is still an elder.. parents, in laws, brother and brother-in-law still uber active jws.. my family (wife and 2 adult children) out since 2005.. we have stayed close to our parents - we have treaded religion lightly and have had a pretty good relationship and have kept our personal lives and beliefs/opinions separated from them.
this was intentional - as we love them and do not want anything to cause shunning since they are getting older and want to be there for them and we respect their beliefs.. got this letter today.

"Generation of 1914" Countdown Timer
by ILoveTTATT2 inso proud of this counter that i made!.
very simple yet shows the estimated amount of people that are living that are from the generation of 1914, defined as "all the people who were alive, even just barely being born, when ww1 started".. here's what i assumed:.
10% of the 1.7 billion people alive in 1914 were infants, just children.

They didn’t say born in 1914 when I was young , it was first those old enough to understand the events that happened in 1914 so they specifically said they would have to be 14 or 15. Then as time went by they reduced it to about ten then younger and younger. The fact is the book Millions will Never die wasn’t about that idea at all but another switch in doctrine. Anyway so they would have had to be born no later then 1900 as they explained in the 70’s and early 80’s. Your chart should be adjusted for that anyway no ones alive now that was born in 1900.

by Hecce inthis notice is not official yet and it should be confidential until released thru the proper channels.
a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.
the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

I just noticed last night that in the area I grew up two hall’s closest to the one I attended are gone along with two maybe three congregations. The remaining congregation was relocated to the hall I attended. I don’t know how many congregations or halls have been eliminated in the greater city area.
In the area I now live, rural area, there’s not much changing that I see other then people being told to attended other congregations no halls being sold yet. I’m thinking that if the halls aren’t worth much or could not be easily sold that the jws are being told to just stay put for now but I’m not sure maybe it’s just this area.

Russell's followers in British Columbia?
by dubstepped inso i was interviewing a guy for a podcast episode today and he went and saw his grandmother over christmas to gather some history.
he wasn't raised a jw but it turns out his family was actually opposed to the jws because they went all the way back to russell.
according to him (from her stories), they refused to follow rutherford and that's where the split took place.

Jws were still into pyramid crap till 1928. I heard the first breaks with Rutherford was also about 1918 one reason was the book the Finish Mystery. Later people left and more breaks because of his failed 1920s Beth sirim predictions . He then reinvented the whole religion and changed the name after so many left.

Well the writers in the New Testament wanted a new god in Jesus so they equated him with Yahweh or his son. They even equated him with Amun in the book of Revelations. There’s like 5 or 6 synagogues found in Israel showing Yahweh as Helios, so syncretizing gods was common.

California is a huge state with some awesome weather and cool places to visit. Maybe the best place in the world would be somewhere in Italy.
