i just found out my best friend died this morning.

i'm not looking for sympathy, i just need some input.

we were very close and worked together volunteering for the aids foundation here in my hometown.

Sorry about your delema.
This is a situation that is best (in my opion) Handeled by following your hearts instincts. I believe that as death ends a marriage with it's vows and promices, as also it dose with a pact made with close and best friends. A promise of that nature and at that time may have been for your peace of mind at that point and time of grieving for you both. The pourpose of your promise may have been for that moment it sounds more like you two were trying to promise not to die on each other in that way any time soon. The promise had a deeper meanig than it's literal meaning.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, And again I'm sorry about your situation follow your heart sometimes the mind thinks too much and requires too much time to decide.

well i've been away for a while, lot of stuff to sort out in my life.

so anyway i've been takeing the info from this site and all the other apostate related sites (ha ha) and haveing some debates with my family, they don't know anything i'm talking about and realy got the brain washed replys youd expect.

and to prove a point, i'm now deceptively after 14 years in exile studing with an elder....to challenge him, and unknown to him i want some satisfaction for what they did to me.

Hello Everyone

Well I've been away for a while, lot of stuff to sort out in my life. So anyway I've been takeing the info from this site and all the other apostate related sites (ha ha) and haveing some debates with my family, They don't know anything I'm talking about and realy got the brain washed replys youd expect. And to prove a point, I'm now deceptively after 14 years in exile studing with an elder....to challenge him, and unknown to him I want some satisfaction for what they did to me. Apearntly he's well versed in the scriptures because I told him I wouldn't study the Control Tower stuff, He met the challenge.

Now I don't know how to combat him I havent looked at a bible in over 14 years I forgot half the crap they preach, but I'm still very bitter at the way they tore my family apart and what they said would become of me if I went to the word and became worldly.

I was wondering if any one knowledgeable would be able to arm me with some good points to challenge, I don't want to be too nasty yet I want to let this elder get comfortabe first and then start with difficut questions for him, and then release some HELL for em.

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Religous blackmail a deciet of trust.

i've been thinking, i was never a good jw as far as studing went, so i'm not the type to quote scriptures, and passages in the books and magazine publications put out by the jw's.

but i heard enough being around them and what ever talks if any that payed attention too.

it seems like they try to scare you into their group.

It seems like they try to scare you into their group. Who else feels that way? All the images they used to depict armagedon, and the way they interpit the bible to be literal and symbolic to their convienance, they seem to hve an answer for everything, and when thy can't come up with one to convince them selfs they quote some scripture about how there are things that were ment to be under stood at a later time bullshit.

They make you feel like your evil if you dont submit to their teachings, I don't know I,m just rambeling, My other posts that are up that didn't get responds is just me venting in my own strange way thanks all, see ya.

for me that is a hard question to answer.

it seems like when your in the borg it is always pounded in your head that you need to do more so they made you think you were never doing enough.. the last five years that i was in it i guess you could say i was pretty gung-ho, i regulare pionered for almost three years as well as served as a ms, i used my home for book study as well as saturday field service.. but you know what all that does not amount to a hill of beans, you know why?

because the whole time i was a doubter, i never liked it from the time i was a kid.

This makes me think of a relitive of mine, I have a cusin who became a JW and of her own strengh and faith dissasociated nerself from the family. well her parents got into the borg just to keep the family together, That,s the sacrfice of loveing parents. I think it was far more honerable on there part what they did to keep their family together. than what my cusin did under the destructive influence of the borgs.

My parents got into the "Truth" when I was 8 and I got the boot when I was 17 I had no choice my parents forced me so durring this time I was the worst Witness kid, I was a double agent an elders nightmare, and I found a few like me, It was fun untill I got rated out and the Elders told my parents to kick me out of the house as they were going to kick me out of the kingdom hall and I wasent even baptised. Looking back It was fun being a double agent untill my cover was blown, oh well. I got some funny war stories.

personal websites in the JW???

hi everybody - can you spare a minute and tell me about your personal experiences regaring having a personal webpage as a jw?.

i am working on a school project about jw and the internet and in this connection i interviewed a representative of the society.

i asked him about personal websites and he said explicitly that, "there is nothing stopping individual witnesses from setting up that sort, and we dont say nobody is to have a website and all that kind of, you know that is entirely a matter for the individual to determine".. however, i can't really make that fit with the impression i get from surfing personal websites.

You know I find it interesting to find active Jw's throught thease boards. Arn't they indefiance of the prime directive against worldly associations? Isn't it hypocrical? About Carlo's site Useing "Angel fire" as a host for his site? Angel and Fire, sounds odd for a contientious JW, Wouldn't that be missundestood by a non JW? I mean no disrespect to the People of "Angel Fire" who do provide This resource. How ever I would like to also commend Carlo for being open minded enough to hang with us apostates and remain faithfull to the JW klan.

He was a national hero a God at Monaco, Too bad I cried when he died.

Any ways you still follow F1? I do, it's not the same but it's still the best raceing around.

What If ???

what if jesus came back to earth the same way he was reported to have done back in bible times, what do you think would happen?.

well if the story is true i think the same exact thing would happen with a few changes.. yes he would end up being put to death again.. of course not on a stake or a cross, probally lethal injection.. when he started to perform miracles they would of course have to be more high tech.

after all what is so hard about turning water in to wine.

I think he most likely be assinated, He'd probably do the usualy healing the blind, and the paralised people like Christopher Reeves, Wake some dead of coma toast people, run big food drives, Disrupt some consert festavals, beat many world records set by us humans,
He'd have to out perform many human feats to start getting recognition
then do radio, Tv talk shows battle some tv evangelists, appear on politicaly incorrect, MTV, then some satanic worshipers would mess with him, Then the tabloids would start in on some scandalis affairs, Man I could come up with a movie
