Do You Remember Me?

it's been ages since i posted on this forum, but i was curious to see what is happening these days.

appears to be much of the same going on in this arena, with those still "in", those "out", and those "in-between".. the one constant is that everyone really does care about the other for the most part.. for those of you who remember me (sentinel) i've truly come such a long way in seven years time since my very first.

Someone out there, please....

...if you are looking for a like-new home in northern virginia, very well situated for travel to all major areas, without all the congestion of newer developments...please consider our home that is for sale.

it went on the market right when things took a turn; the market seems to be flooded and our home isn't selling in the time we had anticipated.

we really need to sell our home in prince william county,and are hoping that someone who has a need will see this posted here and take a look.

Mama's Memorial

most here remember that my mother died after her heart surgery on june 17th.

she has four grown children, and we are very close now as always and feeling like we are now "orphans", without both our parents in this physical life.

the kh in bradenton gave her a memorial on monday evening, july 5th.

Sad News...

my mom had her valve replacement and triple by-pass surgery today.

the operation lasted five hours, and they had just gotten her to her room at 8:00pm when she went into cardiac arrest.

the doctor tried everything, even opening up her chest and massaging her heart.

The Waiting Game...

as most of you know, my ever-faithful sweet little jw mom (79) has had prior scheduled surgeries called off at the last minute.

she called me tuesday evening(6/15) to advise me her open heart surgery was back on--for "today" (6/17) she resides over a thousand miles away and is actively shunning her non-jw offspring.

not much notice, and none of her children will be with her in person.

it was totally unexpected.

i'm off work today to drive hubby to doctor, and had just opened the garage door to take the garbage can to the street.

i saw this burgandy car approaching very slowly on the main road and wondered what they were up to...i could see that it was two older women and i then figured they might want directions.

the choices we make.

the people that affect us and those that we touch in some way.. many "here" seem to be kind of stuck.

Von Willebrand Disease In Humans...

i have personally taken an avid interest in this unusually named disease.

my mother was due to have her open heart surgery on the 30th of april, and at the very last instant, she says that the "doctor" had not picked up on the history of her "bleeding problems".

so minutes from surgery, everything was stopped.

just got news yesterday, indirectlyly from another non-jw family member, that my mom is going to have heart surgery afterall.

they will replace a valve and do a triple by-pass to try to fix her up.

this is such surprising news for me, especially at this time.

Treating Fibromyalgia with a Serotonin Uptake

i've been suffering with fibromyalgia since about 1986, but was not diagnosed until 1997. for the longest time the only course of treatment (since there is no cure) is the use of strong pain killers.

i opted not to take that route.

someone recently posted something on here regarding this malady, and it got me to thinking and doing more research.
