  who had the power in your congregation?

  in mine it was always the elders wives.

  Interesting. It just dawned on me that my mom IS an elders wife. I never really thought about it much, since she became his wife AFTER he dissed fellow shippedmeout 24 years ago (8/7/77). She married him about two years later.

  It is an intriging question. I wonder how she DOES treat thosein her cong. The very cong she was once new in. Yet, since she once again cannot speak to me because I am "very apostate", I suppose I'll never know. Oh wait! I haven't been back to my hometown in a long time. Perhaps a visit to my old cong is IN ORDER. Wonder how I could find out just how she is as an "elders wife".

  Thank you for this post. Much food for thought here.

  Kent's Tabloid Journalism = lies??

  kent has recently undertaken posting more and more 'headlines' fashioned much like those found in tabloid rags such as the national inquirer.

  such headlines skirt the issue but rarely are an accurate representation of the real story.. case in point a headlines such as:.

  never marry a jw!

  i know there are lots of atheists on the board, so i'm curious what attracted you to becoming a jw in the beginning.

  personally, i feel a bond with all ex-jws (and to those of you doubting) since we have gone through the same things.

  so my question is not being sarastic, but i'm curious as to why you are where you are.

  You are extremely hilarious. Most of your posts I read are funnier than "FREDHALL"s. And he is hard to top. His humor is raw and brute...refreshing. The brillo pads had me in tears.

  I can see the kingdom hall now...elders flooded with questions regarding this case. Most excellent!

  Here is what I have called "fallout" since the beginning:

  "...Today the cases facing our brothers is WAY OUT THERE in scope. Many things that are intangible...like verbal abuse.

  Things have escalated to conditions like dealing with brothers and sisters having severe depression, suicidal thinking, and just a host of outward signs of past traumas that manifest themselves in various mental and physical forms. It is much more difficult to know exactly HOW to aid these crushed reeds."

  This is exactly my point. I am not or never have posted these items to convince anyone of anything. I posted them, and will continue doing so, simply because RUSSELL, WTBTS, RUTHERFORD, and other "related names" are and do have everything to do with the history of this organization. Why do the "authoritive apostates" have it linked up to their RESPECTED sites as well? Why did Randy Watters feel the NEED to make a total public announcement re: Springmeier's arrest? And what's more, WHY IS MR. HOWARD HERE?
  Why haven't you asked him about his site that HE POSTED IN THE FIRST PLACE? Does "DIRTY WATCHTOWER SECRETS" have it's own secrets? Am I missing some piece of "This Puzzle"?

  My silence was not an answer for you? Surely anyone can figure that IF I had had an "alternate hypothosis" I would have posted it.

  Truth is, my opinions are just that...mine. I give them if and when I choose. They are mine to give. I don't owe them and I don't give them away just because others WANT them. They are mine. Why do you want them so badly? Seems that way.
