first off, i apologize if this subject has been hashed out before or even lately...i haven't noticed it if it has, but i need to ask it now, as it affects my family as i'm sure it does now, or has in the past, affected many of you here.. i have a daughter who is a very active jw, and a very typical one.

if the wts says it, it has to be so...or if she doesn't down deep agree with it, then god will eventually fix it, but for the time being she is supposed to go along with it....etc.

etc.. this is how she feels about df'ing, da'ing and the resulting shunning..even of a close family member, like her brother whom she adores.

Hello Had Enough,

The shunning I receive was and still is hurtful, but it has never made me want to go back. In fact it has firmed my resolve to stay out. Anyone/group who uses emotional blackmail as a tool to control you, is not something I want to be part of. I also have a sister and brother who are df'd, so that does make it easier for me. We are extremely close and lean on each other a great deal.

Some are guilted into being reinstated, but I believe the majority of the df'd, see the BORG's tactics for what they are.

Tornado almost got me yesterday :(

geez, this is friggin maryland, we never get tornados..anyway at around 5:30pm (quittin time at work) i got notified that a tornado had touched down in college park, (my college, university of maryland college park) and had killed 2 people already and was headed directly in our path, it would arrive in like 10 minutes.. i went outside and it was black..the funny thing was you could see very clearly where the black ended and see clear sky right after that border.

the clouds where movin fast.

i talked to saffron online and told her to grab the kitty cats and head for a basement.

Glad you made it back to your place. When I was 20 (it was my birthday that day) I watched a tornado go across town, never having seen one before I didn't quite know what that huge black cloud was, until I saw trees and cars swirling around in it. Then I high-tailed it to the basement.
To this day, when the winds pick up and the clouds get heavy, I get very scared. I'll never forget it as long as I live. Nature sure is a powerful force.

i was just wondering if anyone has heard dmx's new song "we right here", and also ja rules new hit "livin it up"....their my fav artists...ja and i are secretly "involved" right now....(but don't tell nobody).

now, ja's my boy, but that song w/j.lo has got to go!.

and i want to know if anyone thinks fabolous is gonna stay around....i kept tellin everyone he's gonna be hot-the next one to blow it up....damn it feels good to be right.. get @ me.. ~boo.
