Yep, got mine today too. I haven't had a chance to read it...actually, I usually DON'T read them, I just tend to skim through them and now I look for UN references.

openminded, In every AWAKE magazine that I have, a UN agency is mentioned somewhere in a somewhat positive light. While this in itself is not a bad thing, knowing what I now know about the relationship between the UN and WTS, this fact is very telling. The WTS is allowing the UN to influence the content of their publications! They have AGREED to PROMOTE the UN in their publications and they are now BOUND to do just that. They HAVE TO mention and PROMOTE the UN in some way in their literature. Don't you see what that means? It means that the WTS is not being led by GOD, they are being led by the UN. They HAVE TO use their publications to promote the COUNTERFEIT KINGDOM set up by SATAN, according to their own definition of the UN.

So, who REALLY were/are the "Nephilim"?
by AGuest inmay you all have peace!.
once again, i have received a 'writing' on my heart, which i am directed to share with any and all who will 'receive' it.. for many years, the wtbts and others have taught the "nephilim" to be the offspring of angels who had relations with the daughters of men, half-breed beings that wreaked havoc in a violent way in the earth during the days of noah, just prior to the flood.
that, dear ones... is an error... and a lie.. by the spirit of my father, the holy one of israel, jah of armies, that is in me by means of christ, i say to you that the "nephilim"... are spirit creatures, ancient beings... 'of old'... princes from the spirit realm, the 'wicked spirit forces'... that came to the earth to 'fell' earthling man in the days of noah.. these being are those that i saw standing to the left of my father's throne, shrouded in darkness, and 'egging' on the 'battle' between to the two brilliant cherubs on the ark, the 'arkangels', which i related to you previously on h20.

Shelby, While I do believe that Adam and Eve knew that they were disobeying God, I don't believe they fully understood the consequences. What did they know of death? What did they know of bad? They knew that they were disobeying, yes, but they didn't have an understanding of the fear of God. It wasn't until AFTER Adam ate that they knew fear. The Bible says that the fear of Yahweh is the BEGINNING of wisdom. They didn't have that beginning of wisdom, the knowledge of good AND bad until AFTER they ate. They had only known GOOD up until that point. If they knew what they were doing, don't you think they wouldn't have eaten? I agree that Eve was only motivated by what she saw, not what she thought she would gain. The Bible says that 'she saw that the tree was good for food and something to be longed for to the eyes, yes the tree was desirable to look upon.' Again, I think this speaks to the fact that she was childlike, or innocent, in her true motivation. Adam wasn't deceived, but he was also like a child and had no fear of the warning given to him by his Father.
I just want to say that I truly enjoy your posts. -

You should point out that this 'human rights umbrella' of protection that the UN provides is the VERY PROBLEM that the WTS has with the UN. They have taught that the UN put itself in the position of GOD by claiming that THEY can provide people with protection of their human rights. It is ridiculous that they should go to SATAN's organization for protection when it is the very FACT that they say they DO provide that protection is what makes them SATAN's organization according to the FDS.

(((The writings I mentioned are from a compilation called the Forgotten Books of Eden. Besides the account of Adam and Eve, there is a book called "The Secrets of Enoch". Remember how the Bible states that God took Enoch away? (Gen 5:24) This book describes where he went, and what he saw. In fact reading these accounts fills in the gaps where the book of Genesis is very vague. Whether you view it as fact or myth would be totally dependant on how you view the Bible account of Genesis. If you think it's a myth, than these books will enhance the myth. If you believe the Bible, you would be astounded by what you read.)))
I've come to view the Book of Enoch as being 'hidden manna' for me. It's very enlightened. I haven't finished the Lost Books of Eden yet, but they definitely contain some interesting thoughts. Like Adam and Eve will be resurected, because they really were very innocent in that they didn't even 'know' what they were doing.

Does God Use An Organization - Debate With Elder!
by stevieb1 ini have read tom cabeen's excellent work "does god work through an organization" which i wholeheartedly support.. a while back a jw elder sent me a document which he had written entitled "the christian congregation and the twentieth century" in which he tries to prove that god is using an organization on earth today.
i am requesting your help in refuting these claims.
the most significant claims of this document i will present in several parts on this board.

Regarding the letters to the seven congregations in Revelations, the letters are to the ANGELS of the seven congregations. If you notice, God is telling the ANGELS about the good AND the bad that can be found in the PEOPLE that make up the 'congregations'. Another thing that I think is worth noting, some of the PEOPLE in the 'congregations' seem to hold teachings that aren't scriptural in any way. I think that the 'congregations' themselves represent ALL of mankind. Even Antipas (Pilate) is refered to as being "my witness, the faithful one, who was killed by your side", which is previously revealed as being "where the throne of Satan is". I don't think that these letters in any way indicate that there is one "specific" Christian organization that the messages are meant for.

This Just Burns Me UP! [:(!]
by Aintthatcute ini have read a great deal from the silentlamb's web site, not to mention other sites that are following this atrocity!
it would seem to me, and you can probibly bet, when something like this comes to the attention of the elders; that all of thier children are warned to stay clear of "publisher alleged child abuser"!
even though they are supposed to be "hush-hush" about it.

You Know, what the Bible says: Matthew 24:15,16 "Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken of through Daniel the prophet, STANDING IN A HOLY PLACE, (let the reader use discernment,) then let those in Judea begin FLEEING to the mountains."

why are the JW"S NGO"S?
by sleepy init been very interesting reading all this ngo business.. i haven't had time to read all the info.. what i want to know is this why did the society decide to associate itself with the un?.
what does it get out of the relastionship?.
are they using the un's dpi simply to get information to write about in their magazines, saving them the hassle of writing and researching their own material?.

I'd say the 'new light' is actually pretty old. 10 years old to be exact. If they DO use that tactic, that FACT should be pointed out to those who fall for it.
