today at work, i had pulled open my top drawer of a 5drawer filing cabinet.
sitting in my chair it's right about forehead height.
I was voted the biggest Klutz, in high school. I was at my after school job which entailed filing. I had been filing and then decided to shut the window, which was on the wall where the filing cabinets were; the drawer was open. As I leaned over to shut the window, the drawer closed........with my boobie inside!!!!! You never heard a girl scream louder!!!

now the requirements this year are so extreme, i feel sorry for the newly baptized and the single sisters!

You either have to be an elder or ms or pioneer for 15 years in order to attend (or the spouse thereof).
Single sisters have it so hard, they really never get to enjoy any of the privileges unless they want to marry Brother Abusive or Brother Ne'er do Well or Brother Nerd.

So they are allowed counsel......they have 3 elders and sometimes 5 elders, serving together to judge, confer and counsel, advise each other. They can take notes to refer back to. They can chose to have several meetings to discuss more and more. Oh and they have a secret book to guide them.
You can go it alone. You can't call another meeting. You have no one to confer, counsel with or ask advice of. You can't take notes or tape it. (if you can take notes, they have no meaning and won't be made part of the file). You are forced to adhere to their judgment. You have no book telling you what the "rules" are and what "signs" of repentance you should be producing or what word gems should be uttering forth from your mouth.
hmmmmm......sounds like Gestapo to me or the Salem witch hunt. Maybe you won't float if you drown, then they will realize you were not guilty.

if i own/read/admit to apostate material, can that get me df'ed?.
i know better then to admit that i believe the apostate material to the elders, or that i disagree with the society's teachings, but will simply admitting to owning and reading them get me df'ed?.
Whats funny about this, is that Catholics were banned from reading certain books even up to recent times. The WT has made fun of the book bannings by Catholics. The Jesuits finally told the big whigs that either they were mature enough to read whatever they wanted and they knew truth was truth. If books were banned, then something was hidden. What is there to hide if you have the truth???
I think JWs should feel the same.

Good research...... If you are limited in space, I would edit out the dates that are pre-Barbour and then edit out some of the publishing stuff. But definitely leave in the failed predictions (ie telling the COs and DO's to announce Armegeddon will definitely be here by 1975).

but how about its ok to sit around for hours and watch sports, go to the games, cheer for the team. Whats the difference between being on the team or rooting for the team?? How can the differentiate between the 2? The fans would normally love to be team members.
