freddi has to be one of the most judgmental people I've ever come across on this Board. She must think her own crap don't stink. She drew a conclusion about me based on one post. And she just can't leave this alone.
Valis- Thanks for your rebuttal.
CHEVY- He seemed like a good young man. Steve Harvey was saying good things about him.
144- Actually, the most STUPIDEST arguments were all the ones that people had with fredhall. There must be something wrong with people whose screen names derive from "fred". LOL!
Have a nice day, all. And freddi, you seem like you just need a hug. {{{{{{freddi}}}}}}

I forgot to add that the one negative about snow is when it falls on a non-meeting night. Sigh...

Regarding Tombstones
by joelbear inwhat do i want on my tombstone?.
i've always thought i would have a quote from the jimmy buffett song "he went to paris".
some of its magic.

I don't want a tombstone. Just creamate my a$$ and stick me in an urn. Or, better yet, scatter my ashes around a tree or something.
However, I would like a nice BIG obituary.

Shakita-
I haven't seen a great Weatherman/woman since Jim O'Brien. He was awesome and funny!!! He died in a parachute jump. He is the father of 'Ros' from 'Frazier'.
Also, Dave Roberts (who replaced Jim O'Brien) is the father of the guy from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
What's up with Channel 6 weathermen having famous kids?
detective- You're welcome. I am not travelling (unfortunately).

How long are people remembered?
by joelbear in.
unless you are famous for something how long are you really remembered?.
maybe you are remembered at most by your grandchildren, but then your presence in the universe is gone.. so, really, what difference does it make whether you die in your 40's or your 70's, your memory simply lingers another 30 years at most.

Joel-
You probably won't believe this but...
Last week, I was telling my wife that there should be "people" Veternarians. You know, when I become old (and probably senile), it would be cool if someone could get a consultation from a "people" Vet about my health.
"So, how long does my Funchback have to live? Is he in pain", my loved one would ask.
"He'll probably live for another 8-12 months. He is in pain, though", the "people" Vet responds.
"Well, in that case, we better 'put him down'. Will it hurt when you put him to sleep?", the loved ones asks.
"No. It's actually quite painless. I think you are making the right choice. Say, would you like to be in the room while I euthanize him?"
Okay, it wouldn't be cool. But, that's life, Joel.

Good topic!
I will watch an R-rated movie now. It can even have something "supernatural" in it (like 'The Ring'). I plan on going to see 'Friday After Next' tomorrow.
Gosh! I can't believe how I would "counsel" my "friends" for going to see R-rated movies. What a butt I must've been.
Oh, and I also speak to DF'd and DA'd folks. "HI, NIKITA!!!"

Tink-
I pulled that gif off the 'net. I cracked up when I saw it. I have no idea who it is. However, it must be someone famous because it looks like it was shown on the 'E' channel.

Tink- Hopefully...maybe...ONE day you'll get smothered with snow. :o)
Shakita- When you say my neck of the woods, are you from the Philly area? If so, then you realize all of the flack that John Bolaris took when he guaranteed that it (the storm that never happened) would be the worst we'd seen in a lifetime. He never recovered from that. Now he's going back to New York City. I hate Channel 10 anyway.
detective...
It's cool. Hopefully another time. Just e-mail me in advance. Have fun on your trip and drive carefully!

Do you have any odd or unusual reasons why the elder's decided to cancel one of your meetings?
I don't know if this is necessarily unusual but our Hall lost power one cold day. The meeting was cancelled. We were then advised that we should bring candles and flashlights to the next Thursday night meeting in case it happens again.
