Is God that clever?
by sleepy inis the god of the bible, as bible accounts tell us and according to witness theology clever or a bit daft and wasteful?.lets look at a few things.. god creates man.so in someway man is designed by god.now for some reason which is either a natural law which god cannot break, an error on his part or done on purpose, man is able to become imperfect.so either god could not forsee this or he carried on despite knowing what would happen if man turned imperfect.. was god right to do this?if you were god would you have carried on?was it right that if only the first two humans managed to become imperfect or made by god imperfect that all humans from then on would now be so cursed?is god using a dodgy programme or does he have no power to do things differently?.
then god sets laws for humans.it is up to god what man can and can not do.truble is these are exactly the things humans what to do if imperfect.could god have changed things round a bit making it easier for humans to follow his laws?
in fact those cursed with imperfection had no choice in the matter.and are punished for following their instincts.it goes so far that god says unless you follow my laws (which are impossible to follow fully as we are imperfect)i'm going to kill the lot of you?in fact i already know that hardly any will survive.. if you are an imperfect human , unable to follow god through no fault of your own, you are considered wicked.but apart from that apparently god allows some other creature with his mates to to mislead these poor humans with devious plans.they are so good that you cant even tell satan and his demon friends even exist.yet god allows tham to causes havoc among his humans.. aparently only those who manage to find out god exist through a book written thousands of years earlier , without any supporting evidence of being genuinly written by god, and only those out of that number who come across a tiny religious group , lead by a bunch of men who can not prove god is using them, and who sell their magazines by going door to door are going to be saved.. does this make sense?why does not god make it easier for humans?why allow them to be bullied and mislead by super powerful creatures?why make the "truth" so hard to find , so difficult to believe?why punish people for things they can't help doing?.

Nemisis "What you are missing is free will"
But as imperfect humans , we don't have free will. The idea is that we are borns sinner , we can't help sinning. If we can't help it we have no choice in the matter.
"I find it amusing that humans screw up the world, and then expect God to jump to attention and make it all good so they can then screw it up all over again, why the heck should he?"
But according to the bible the world is screwed up because 1.Man is imperfect, so for example people have the desire to do bad to each other 2 .Satan and his demons rule it.

Does this make sense? Why does not God make it easier for humans? Why allow them to be bullied and mislead by super powerful creatures? Why make the "truth" so hard to find , so difficult to believe? Why punish people for things they can't help doing?
Why?All to prove God is the only one deserving of worship.
So is God so good why doesn't he think of a better way to sort his problems out?If God is so limited and there is no better way, is he really desrving of this worship he desires? He would just be a creature like us limited by the laws of nature.
So in which way is God really that clever , he cant think of a way to solve his problem without having little humans suffer from sickness, death, abuse, war and millions of other things for six thousand years, and them he has to kill most of them anyway.
Is this good use of his resoruces, in order to produce a population on earth of about six million you need six thousand years of misery and suffering, and the destruction of billions of humans in first a flood and then armageddon.
How wasteful god is.Could you have done better?

Could man have free will if God cansee the future?
by sleepy in.
some witness theological beliefs are, man has free will, god can see the future.. i used to wonder how this could work.for if god could see you were going to do something then you must do it, otherwise god is wrong, so therefore you had no choice.. take judas for example.jesus is believed to have known he would be betrayed by him.in fact it is suppossed to have been prophesied in psalms that someone close to him would do so.. if god could see that judas would kill jesus then once this predicion was made judas had no choice no free will to choose not to.so either god can't really see the furture and can just make predictions or man has no free will.if when god looks into the future this causes an event to happen , its gods fault if he see something bad happening , as if he didn't look it would not have been set in stone.. if it is predictions that god makes (not acktual knowledge of what will happen)then what are these based on?.
knowledge of the human brain and how it works?if so, then man actions are purly based on mechanisms within the brain that are so rigid that you with enought knowledge can know them thousands of years before.so if mans sins it not his fault , theres nothing he can do about it , he has no free will.so god is not just in punishing him.. whichever way it does not work out as fair or logical that a god could see the future and for man to have free will..

Hi Bleep, sleepy awoke.
Just a few extra points.
A universe where you ,if you have enought information can predict the outcome of any event is called a deterministic one.Up untill resent history it was a favoured idea by many.Scientists thought that all actions if accounted for would lead directly to a specific re-action.But with the deeper understanging of the quatum world and the chaotic nature of it (See a book on quatum theory to understand), scientists began to see that there was no way you could make accurate predictions on definate outcomes ,only probabilities.
The quatum nature of the universe means that make accurate predictions of future outcomes is not possible, althought you can make some good guesses.
If you believe that a God created this universe , he created quatum uncertainty. He created a situation where no futures could be predicted with certainty.
Therefore any God who created this type of universe created so that you can not make definate predictions.

how Jehovahs witness keep the cong clean.
by sleepy inthis is how jehovahs witness keep the congregations clean.
when anyone does something wrong, adultery, childabuse etc only the elders dealing with the case are supposed to know about it , appart from those directlty involved.
this means that appart from rumors and gosip, which jehovahs witnesses are instructed to ignore (i suspect this is the reason why)no one knows about it.this creates the impression among the general publishers that these things rarely happen.

Even the rest of the elders often don't know.
If it was announced every time someone did something disaproved b jehovahs witnesses , they would soon realise these things happen all the time.
So witnesses are a clean people because they are never told what is really happening.
