  Mr. Flipper's Son Gets 3rd response from Witness Mother - Your Advice ?

  so my son after sending the 2nd letter you guys read the other day , the next day gets this response from his mother.

  you will notice in reading the 1st paragraph of this response , i believe the first half of the 1st paragraph is a quote from some watchtower publications or something to prove god's existence , then after in the second paragraph she gets down and dirty trying to " convert " my son back.

  so here it is, see what you think , and would love to hear your takes and advice.

  I noticed when the witnesses are stumped..they change the bible subject..which is what she did. She got called on the Child abuse in the congregations and she responds with the YHWH issue?

  She barely mentioned the child abuse issue. I would continue on the same lines and not talk about anything else..flood her with actual accounts of abuse in the congregations and stick with that for now.

  It doesn't have anything to do with how all the congregations have the same talk on the same day..or how united they are in their beliefs..(that's another story).

  Always go back to the child abuse issue..then when that has been covered to show the extent of abuse that is going on in the religion and the poor way the problem is being handled....only then would I move on to another subject...nothing gets accomplished otherwise.

  It would mean doing research on his part but the computer offers plenty of information!

  The wierdest thing happend to me at work today!!!!!

  i was at the front desk (can't tell you what i do, as i'm a fader).

  i get a call from a company that works closely with us.

  the lady says: "i have a client here that needs an_____, but he wants a jehovah's witness.".

  I have to have an ultrasound of my heart every year and the Dr I went to (He died a few years ago) hired from an outside agency to do the job. Well the woman came in and I thought"She sure is trampy looking"...short skirt..hair a mess..no stockings..looked like 6 inch heels... anyway we get to talking and she starts in about the condition the world is in today..Well..red signals started going off. I said "Are you a JW?". she said 'Yes".

  I immediately got sick to my stomach..I know my blood pressure went up!..

  I told her I used to be one but quit. Left it at that..

  She immediately starts saying "It is fate" ...It is fate"....I start thinking..what is fate? She is doing my ultrasound and telling me "it is fate?"I start picturing the worst..I am going to die!

  What she meant was that she thought Jehovah had sent her there to find his lost sheep!

  Now when you have an ultrasound you don't want anything to upset you while the machine is reading..so I tried to keep calm and quiet..but afterwards..I told that Dr.."DON'T EVER USE HER ON ME AGAIN!"...NO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES...EVER.......

  He laughed and said he noticed my blood pressure had gone up a little during the procedure...so I told him why...He laughed again..

  CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

  do you find it difficult to know what to get for your beloved for christmas?

  (assuming you celebrate it!)..

  my wife says to me "don't get me anything, i'd rather we saved the money to get away next year.".

  Want to know the best present I ever got?

  It was from my hubby a year before he died. I had felt real low because he didn't celebrate Valentines day..so I got nothing..I was in a very sad mood and felt unloved.

  He went out and got me a little stuffed dog with a message tag on his neck. On it he wrote how very much he loved me . Well..time went by and I had put it on my nightstand..not paying too much attention to it. But soon after he died..one night it just jumped out at me..I took that stuffed dog and hugged it every night and cried tears on it. Believe it or not that really helped me. It was something he picked out just for me and had wrote a love note on it. I still hug it when I go to bed...it is very special to me!

  Before we got married he gave me a charm bracelet with a heart on it. He had out initials engraved on it..That was over 40 years ago..I still have it! I think that is about as special as the doggie. One was the first present..and the other was the last..

  Those are the kind of presents that mean a lot to me..sentimental ...

  My grandson had his pick of which game he wanted..he choose the Wii...I had to wait in line 2 hours to get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  No easy task for a 65 year old...then I got to wait in line again for the Mario game...

  You meet a lot of interesting people waiting in line...

  Accidentally Hit Animals with Cars ? A Problem in Rural areas-Experiences?

  so, hello folks.

  i have wanted to start this thread for sometime because i was curious if it has happened to any of you often.

  in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .

  I ran over my cat....................................

  I also hit a big dog that ran into the street but he ran away after that. His owner came out and I gave him my info but I never heard from him...I hope that was a good thing and the dog was OK...

  We have so many deer where I live that they actually have to hunt them to cut down on the population...They are always running through the yards...poor things . It reminds me of when the Indians had their property taken away..they too have no place to go.

  They paved paradise and put up a parking lot!..

  I love Ciara on me!...

  Snoozy...who smells some pretty good stuff out there but the last person I asked what kind of perfume she was wearing told me "Soap and Water"..I never asked again..so I have to go smell samples..

  mentioned this morning that she was brought up in the borg but left because of the teachings about 1914 and 1975, but the main thing that did it for her was when her father was df'd was she was told she couldn't speak to him, sounds like some of us here.

  joy asked her which of her parents wast the first one to join and she said her mother (isn't that the way it always is) and then later her father came in.

  mentioned how she hated the false service and they used to put her in front hoping they wouldn't slam the door in the face of a child.

  The 7th daughter tries to cook a Thanksgiving Dinner

  yep, that's me!

  i'm giving it a shot!

  being the 7th daughter, i didn't have to cook that much especially on the holidays.

  Mrs D...I'm glad you took the initiative to cook! It makes a body feel good!

  I used to cook the turkey and everyone met at my house..(We had it on Sat. I was a JW you know..)

  I made a lot of mistakes at first..undercooked turkey..overcooked cake...lumpy potatoes..Now I look back and can laugh at my mistakes. They weren't so funny to me at the time though.

  Yesterday I had turkey at my daughter's house. I only made a Peanut butter pie and apple pie..but her Brother in law brought some jello with bananas in it. I love that.So I'm looking forward to some jello with bananas and cool whip and pecans after dinner...there's always room for JELLO..right?
  Well about 3 mouthfuls into it I had this really bad taste in my mouth.It was like a really strong strawberry jello that was lumpy and bitter...but I kept eating..didn't want to hurt his feelings..
  When I was almost finished..his mom and him were talking and let it slip that it had smashed cranberries in it.I almost choked..I hate cranberries too!

  I felt ill all night..ruined my turkey dinner...then she asked if I wanted the rest..(No One else ate it..that should have been a warning to me)
  I said "Sure"..it's now in the trash can...

  But the pies turned out great..and the food was delicious..but I miss the old days when they could all gather at my house and eat.
  The married kids all got in the habit of eating at their in laws that WEREN'T JW's..and can't change their tradition now.

  Anyway..I had a good time and hope you did too...it's always fun to get family together.
  And then it's fun to go home...

  Snoozy..who hopes everyone had a good Thanksgiving and if not..make sure to make preparations now to have a GOOD Christmas...
  Because we are all SPECIAL and we deserve it!

  anonymously, i sent out about 100 emails this morning, about the nbc-news story.

  all to jw's from my contact list.

  i have not written any of these people for at least two years.

  But if a member smokes it is....

  If a member drinks too much it is......

  If a member dresses too revealing it is....

  It a member doesn't punish their children in the right way it is....

  If the member drives a car that is not fitting for service it is....

  If a member wears a beard it is...

  If a member doesn't get enough time in going door to door it is....

  If a member needs a blood transfusion it is...............

  And so on and so on........................................

  But molesting children is NONE of their business?

  I wonder what their stand is now on spousal abuse and physical child abuse?

  a producer with nbc in new york called within the past hour to tell me that the segment i interviewed for (once in nashville, tn in august and once in washington, dc in october) is set to air tonight on nbc nightly news with brian williams, that is, if no huge calamity takes place to bump the feature.

  this piece will be two minutes and 45 seconds long, the longest slot nightly news has for topics of interest, and will feature a discussion about the court documents that are found on the cd i recently produced, "secrets of pedophilia in an american religion, jehovah's witnesses in crisis.

  in addition, nbc's internet site, msn, will follow with a detailed story.

  I hope that anyone that may be studying with the JW's had the opportunity to see the show!

  And I hope they think twice about continuing their study with them!

  And yet there are still some out there that you have to hit over the head with a hammer ...and then they still don't get it!

  Even with all the hubbub about the showing..it was worth waiting for.
