  God....there are so many....

  1. Senile sister gets up and turns the lights off during the middle of the public talk! Brother speaking just kept right on like nothing ever happened, she flips them back on and is standing at the back smiling....like she had discovered electricity or something....she was a freakshow...
  2. We were in the service meeting and discussing that scripture in Proverbs...about if you train up your child in the way that is right...they won't turn away from it....Well, she raises her hand to comment and they hand her the mic...she blurts out "Well, if that scripture is so true how come MY son isn't in the truth?" They quickly snatched it out of her hands....
  3. Sister Busy-Body who always sits on the 2nd row of the KH gets up during the WT study and goes to the ladies room.....well when she marches her plump but back up to the second row her skirt is tucked into her pantyhose!!!!!!!!! Thought I was going to die.....just about did..I had to get up off the back row and excuse myself....
  4.My OWN niece was with me one night and lets a roaring wind of gas break free during the prayer.....LOUD!

  the three of us are off on our summer vacation this weekend so i won't lurking or posting the odd post for a couple of weeks.. <---- that's me in whistler, b.c.

  we are heading in the same direction with a family reunion at mrs. thirdson's aunt and uncle's place on whidbey island, then separately to the san juan's and then on to vancouver for 3 nights.

  i need the break and it comes at just the right time.

  when will they announce my DA?

  how quickly do they announce a da?

  it was last friday when my husband and i da'd ourselves.

  this was just a verbal statement, i am not wasting a piece of paper and a stamp, just to tell them the same thing all over again.

  Well, they received my letter on a Monday, and announced it 48 hours later on a Wednesday, never even met with me....I found out from someone who was df'd and I had also called a friend to prepare her for the announcement, and her husband called back and left a message for me to never call them again....Just depends on the elders....

  INDIVIDUAL'S WIFE,

  I believe we are spared the once a year shepherding call.....I've been da'd almost 4 years and never had one yet....they DON'T want to deal with us and they DON'T want us to come back, we know too much....

  go to the hall and face the music or stay home and watch t.v this thought went through my head when an elder asked a sister if her husband was to embarrased to sit in the hall when they made the announcement what do you think?

  The elders received my disassociation letter on a Monday, on the following Wed, (48hrs) they announced it, I only talked to one brother....and that was to tell him to go to the KH and get the letter since I put it in the mailbox instead of mailing it....I had actually put it in the box on the previous Friday and knew they hadn't recvd it.....called this elder to find out about it, called him back an hour later, he had already been to the KH and back with the letter...They didn't try to talk me out of it....he was the only one I spoke to....I thought I would get that "week" before they would announce it, but when I called a friend of mine no one answered and I guess they saw it on called id, her husband called and left a message on my answering machine....."We follow Jehovah's rules...so please, please, DON'T EVER, EVER CALL HERE AGAIN".... I knew from that statement, it had been announced......I just wanted to talk to some of my friends...and say goodbye....I guess, that's probably the one thing they didn't want me to do....

  Blackman....I never did time in the "prison", and most of my knowledge of these men comes from having met them at assemblies and conventions.....What I couldn't stand is that they were treated like absolute Royalty....you would have thought Jesus had come down from heaven on a cloud! Just my observations...had a conversation one time with Sydlick in a hotel lobby...a short little mofo....very little to say....all I could think of was.....this little short ass was the voice of Pharoah????

  I have mixed emotions and thoughts on this one....I da'd almost 4 years ago....felt like I had to make that break official and felt like I wanted to give them a piece of my mind....I have no family who are JW's so that's nice but I miss my friends tremendously, even though I have many wonderful friends now. I also regained my family that I had been practically shunning for 12 years because they were "worldly"....but I could have regained them without da'ing...and another thing...I am active politically and socially and my family is big into holidays......I guess in the end my freedom has been worth the price...I lower my head for no one....and I speak to all JW's I run into...
