You need to do the same experiment with kosher meat and chicken. If the results are different, then you've got a nice little piece of scientific "proof"..

JWs... That's not "MEAT JUICE" that you're eating !
by AlphaOmega ina while ago i had a discussion with a jw who swung the conversation around to "the blood issue"... .
i asked him that as he "abstained from blood", does he therefore only eat "kosher meat".. his response was "what's does kosher mean" !.
i explained, and he then told me that all meat nowadays was "kosher", and that the red juice that runs from a steak is infact "meat juice" and not blood, so it was okay to eat.. hmmmmmn.... .

OK, YOUR FAVORITE FOOD/COOKING SHOWS. Anthony Bourdain...
by Seeker4 inyep, bourdain's no reservations tops my list of favorites.. why is it that shows on food and cooking, reality or otherwise, kick the ass of just about everything else on tv?
what do you expect with crap like america's got talent?
yeah, maybe it does, but not much of it's getting on that show!.

I find Bourdain interesting, but one show of his stands out in memory. In A Cook's Tour, he did an episode about the culinary delights of Melbourne (Victoria), and featured a bunch of chefs. Trouble was, they were people like Neil Perry, Armando Percuoco and Tetsuya - all Sydney chefs! To put that in perspective, if he went to Dallas to cover the food scene there, and he featured Charlie Trotter and a bunch of other Chicago chefs, you'd smell a rat, wouldn't you?
For supper tonight I sliced locally made bread from locally grown wholegrain, sliced it thick, put on butter, slices of tomato from my own garden, covered that with sharp cheddar cheese made at the farm down the road, then slid them under the broiler til the bread browned and the cheese and butter melted. Ate it with a glass of local whole milk. Quick, easy and awesome!
Erm, isn't that otherwise known as "cheese on toast"?

What about Ming? And Yan? And if Ching (another monosyllable) has her show shown in the USA, I bet she's lusted after more than Giada or Rachael Ray.
As for Kylie Kwong, the less said, the better!
Does Neil Perry ever get shown in the US? (He was featured on an episode of A Cook's Tour)

Clear plastic tape across the inside of the donation box slot.
Shout "Hooray!" every time a certain word, eg. Jehovah, is mentioned.
Sneakily slap "Hug me if you love Jesus!" stickers over the intendents' name badges.
Wear a 700 Club tie.

Has Anyone Ever Refused To Turn In Their Elder Manual ???? What Happened??
by Lady Liberty inhello friends,.
inlight of the new post from elsewhere regarding the elders manual, it got me wondering what the elder body would do if a elder refused to turn in their manual.
i suppose there isn't alot they could do, but has it ever happened to any of you??

Theft, fire, storm damage - there's lots of ways the Devil can attack the glorious ones.
Bonus points to the elder who can get a second copy after "losing" the first.

The Ways In Which a Witness Can Rebel
by metatron inin this organization, how can any witness express their disapproval of anything?

I like the "go into business" suggestion. Not only will it take up your time, it may offer more ways to rebel.
If you design fashion or jewellery, make sure you regularly wear the gaudiest and loudest examples of your craft.
If you customise cars, make sure the vehicle you pick everyone up in for field service is the most pimped up, tricked out ride they'll ever live to see in this lifetime.
If you open a restaurant, use Watchtower terminology liberally as part of your promotions, eg. "The Great Crowd Pleaser" or "The Other Sheep Lamb Kebab".
If you're a farmer, regularly pepper your conversations with words like "stud", "bitch" and "insemination".

A paisley suit?

Rachael Ray jumped the shark when she tried the talk show format. She's just not the type for that! Methinks she copied Nigella's foray into the format. Nigella kind of pulled it off; Rachael Ray can't.
I take it Rick Stein hasn't invaded Yankland like he has Oz? The Lifestyle/Food Channels must have bought a job lot of his shows: they're always showing the bugger! Now that that $%#^ing dog Chalky is dead, and Stein's wife finally divorced him, perhaps the show output will slow down.
I like Alton Brown's shows and the all too short series by Heston Blumenthal, Kitchen Chemistry. Ever Wondered Food is good, as well.
Anything Tyler Florence does seems to be good, and Michael Chiarello is borderline watchable.
Apart from Cook Like A Chef, Canadians can't seem to make cooking shows.

How about naming the restaurant and its location.
Good idea. Then anyone from this board can go in and order black pudding. Should be a laugh!
