hi everybody - can you spare a minute and tell me about your personal experiences regaring having a personal webpage as a jw?.
i am working on a school project about jw and the internet and in this connection i interviewed a representative of the society.
i asked him about personal websites and he said explicitly that, "there is nothing stopping individual witnesses from setting up that sort, and we dont say nobody is to have a website and all that kind of, you know that is entirely a matter for the individual to determine".. however, i can't really make that fit with the impression i get from surfing personal websites.

there are roughly 1,000,000 kangaroos in australia.. there are roughly 100,000 aborigines in australia.. there are roughly 10,000 non-aboriginal australians in australia.. of the 10,000, roughly 8,000 are lifeguards or surfers.. of the 2,000 remaining, probably 200 are/were jws.. of those 200, roughly 20 are now ex-jw "apostates".

i do hope that the likes of dunscott will take the time to share his views.. with regard to the charge against the wtbts of being a false prophet.. how does an intellectual active jw justify to him/herself that they are in the true faith when the evidence against it is so overwhelmingly strong?

Good news. I'm all for religious freedom, but since the Tower doesn't practice it, it's good to see the state step in and protect people from their own delusions. After all, it's not adults being forced by the state to not commit suicide, just adults being prevented from subjecting their children to unnecessary martyrdom. Another good post, Kent.
