  The dull ache of success

  this is part essay, part whinge.

  a whinge is a british expression for a bitchfest.. i am in pain, a great deal of psychic turmoil.

  partly, i think, it is due to the weather; the gloom of a pittsburgh winter is nothing to sneeze at (although, achoo, the flu is going around).

  {{{{Czar}}}}, I'm glad you shared............better to share this stuff than to let it fester inside.........I do the same thing when I get down................you are a very sensitive person, probably very empathic............and with all the negative stuff the media posts it's a wonder more of us aren't in little padded rooms..................JT, beautiful flower!! I rejoiced for awhile too. I rejoiced that the men and women who went over there didn't do so in vain.........that their suffering wasn't for naught. All the men and women who have died in some way have been vindicated because of Hussain's capture..........I would think that their families are getting a sense of satisfaction right now. And why shouldn't they........we all have a sense of justice inside, of right and wrong.........it's been satisfied. The scales have been somewhat balanced..........Now, Get on your computer and go look at some positive stuff, look at webshots, they've got some beautiful flowers, etc. there.........pm me to talk, I don't mind!

  After Disassociation or Disfellowshipping, can u still pray or read bible?

  i've been noticing more an more that i'm more athiest than anything else because i don't have a gret attachment to god or spirituality.

  ive mentally grouped it as a pseudoscience.

  I love how Seattle Nice Guy summed his points up, and I totally agree with all of them! I do not look upon the Bible as an authority anymore, or written by God, and I certainly cannot stand the God of the Bible whatever his name is.....................

  Naru, don't rush things..........allow yourself to heal gradually............I've been out 5 years and last night I heard a former elder's voice on my radio at work.........he's driving bus........I work in the BOE in the transportation dept...............and I was totally overwhelmed with so many emotions! First I was excited, I wanted to pick up the mike and say hi.............then the sadness hit me.........this man would not accept me at a friendly level because I'm DF'd. I can't even stand to look in my Bible most of the time............and my BF is a born again.........but we respect each other's beliefs.........mine are earth based spirituality............like the native americans or Wiccans. I was bummed all night because of hearing his voice...............the sadness and depression comes when I see or hear former friends..........and the anger when they snub me.............

  I kind of saw that.........but someone encouraged me to ask anyways............I'm kind of bummed tonite.............I work for the BOE in my area and tonite, I heard a voice I hadn't heard in awhile...........a former elder from my old congregation............his family and ours used to be good friends...........and, too funny, the dispatcher is a witness too, but, when I was one, she would have been considered on the "weak" side......at least when I was in the exalted position of "wife of an elder"................and, I was in shock, and I called her, and she said "well, as long as you talk just about work....." and I was like "thanks", mentally of course............but, it just kind of shook me up...........made me soooo sad.........., anyways, glad ta meet ya............

  i believe that god still helps some of the of the ones still "traped" in the org.

  - god helped me greatly while i was still in.

  Since everyone else seems to have peeked in here, said a few things and left, I guess I'll bite the bullet too, but AAF, you don't need to bother responding to me.........I just want to say what I believe, what makes sense to me. I don't want to be preached at or reasoned with:

  I think it's very simple: "Great Spirit" created life.........which came to live throughout the Universe. He gave us no rules to follow other than what our common sense tells us.........altho even that is suspect.........you live on a planet with other sparks of life............take care of it, and have respect for your fellow inhabitants..........if you get greedy, or start to poison your home.........well, you've got serious problems then..................no false promises at all. It all rests on you, it's your responsibility. If you do dumb things well, you're not going to live very long.

  Heath! I didn't do the roller skate thing, but, I do remember being ga ga for patent leather shoes! Those black, shiny, beautiful shoes with the heel thingy that made noises! And, we lived on a street that had a series of hills on it like a roller coaster ride............us kids with bikes would start at the top and while our parents hair stood on end, and they had heart failure we'd zoom by as fast as we could, all the way to the bottom! And, back then, I didn't own a "girl's" bike. It was an old boy's bike, just a tad too big for me, and boy, if my feet fell of the peddles.....OUCH! You guys ain't the only ones who could get injured and experience pain in that region of the body! Or, how about the "Spring Ritual"....where you were just dying to go outside with no shoes or coat on????? And, who remembers scraping the meat off their big toe, on the rough asphalt.............? And go carts? I'm old enough to remember "Prell"! LOL! Mel Brooks did a skit one time on that............Carl Reiner was interviewing him as the "Six Thousand Year Old Man", who of course was Jewish. It was hysterical! Carl asked Mel to look back at all the inventions that man has come up with in his long life and tell him which in his opinion was the greatest invention............the heart lung machine....etc. etc.....and Mel said: you guessed it: Prell! It was soooo pretty, and you drop a pearl in it and it just drifts to the bottom, and if you drop the bottle, no don't worry, it won't break! If the heart lung machine fell out of the medicine cabinet, it would smash, but not Prell!

  my father dad himself for purely emotional reasons when my parents got divorced seven years ago.

  it was a rash decision to say the least.

  i re-established contact with him about three months ago.

  page 2 introduces the 2004 yeartext.. "keep on the watch...prove yourselves ready.

  "-----matthew 24:42,44.. consistently,god's word reminds us that jehovah's day will arrive with shocking suddenness.hence,our yeartext for 2004 reflects jesus' deep love for his disciples,whom he wants to preserve through "the great tribulation.

  how do we remain spiritually watchful and ready?by allowing nothing to distract us from our study of god's word and from our privileges of sacred service.this yearbook contains many examples of loyal witnesses,who took to heart jesus' loving admonition.may you imitate their faith.. feel free to comment on this introduction to the new yearbook of 2004.. my comment is that they still believe that fear of the great tribulation will still work to keep the rank and file in line.and it is only by our study of god's word ( notice our study is not explained to say,through the interpretation of the governing body ) and from our privileges of sacred service ( again notice,how do they define sacred service,full time ministry ,bethel life,pioneering and door to door work is all a privilege along with meeting attendance is left out ).
