WT Website Puts Up Articles On Molestation!

the listings below are a new offering from the watchtower website.

it seems the brothers have developed a real concern for putting up every article ever written about child abuse.

i appreciate this greatly as it helps the public to see the great deficiency of watchtower policy.

It's obvious that the Legal Department(tm) is running the show.

Morals, ethics and what is right is not important.

Protecting the mighty Watchtower Printing Corporation is more important than the little children they cast away like old dish rags. Those children go on with lifetime problems and grief and guilt and bad relationships, but the mighty presses of the Watchtower Printing Corporation keep grinding out their pablum for the babies who worship at their altar. And the true believers keep believing....

Good News from Calgary

the appeal court backed the decision of the lower court judge.. i am not rejoicing that the girl is necessarily getting the blood, tho i certainly like her chances for survival far better this way than with the 'alternative' treatment.

i have long been of the opinion that people have the right to chose medical treatment as long as it is an informed decision .

the court in their ruling support the fact that this girl did not make an inofrmed choice and was under intense pressure from the church, not her own belief.

Can any Witness possibly anwser this question?

hello all... i came across this line of questioning many months on the inet so i decided that i would submit just this once to peer pressure and make a usefull contribution to the board.. here is the question... is jesus just "a god?".

many of the regular inet surfers would have come across this line of questioning before so if you have you could just sit back and relax and read the replys.. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>.

me: so is he a 'lesser true god' or a 'lesser false god?'.

who is Jesus. There never was a time when God was without His Word.
There never was a time when God was "speechless." Gen. 1 on numerous occasions says "And God said..." Does God have a mouth and voice
to speak as some believe? Or is this an anthropomorphism? Is God's spokesman (the Word) there at the very beginning of creation or not?
If Jesus is already in the beginning then both the Father and the Son are co-creator. Jesus is the beginning of the creation of God (Rev. 3:14) not that he himself was created, but rather that he is the
origin of creation. See also Col. 1:16-17

God here is clearly saying that there are NO created 'gods' period-none before nor after. Since you 'think' Jesus is created (which is contrary to scripture also) and you 'think' he is only 'a god' then exactly when was he created? Before the Father, after the Father? Neither of those two options are right according to Isaiah and what does that leave?

Now.......Let me make it clear that I am NOT arguing scripture or being obstinate, it's just that I was SO POSITIVE in my heart for 30 years that my JW beliefs were solid, and now, with discussions like this, all I DO know is that I DON'T know much of anything!!! (My reasons for leaving the WTS were finding out I'd been duped, lied to, manipulated, and treated like crap cuz I wasn't a pioneer, I had a nonJW husband-that I married years before I became a JW-and that when I became disabled, between a wheelchair and crutches, I was ignored for six months and so forth. I never had, at the time, an issues with understanding of scripture.

Having said that, I NOW have LOTS of questions and misgivings, and will ask others when I don't understand something (like THIS topic, and I have others, LOL)

When God said to be making man in "our" image, as already posted--it couldn't be "angels" He spoke to, and the only logical explanation would have to be Jesus who was there.

So (1)if there were no other Gods before or after...and Jesus is globally referred to as "Lord and Savior"...HOW does this add up?

And if (2) God and Jesus are one and the same, as some people say, HOW could God be talking to himself and saying to make man in "OUR" image?

And if (3) God and Jesus are the same "person", and Jesus prayed to GOD...it's got to be explained somehow.

And when (4) Jesus died, (and they're, again, both the same, did God die, and commend his soul to himself???

A 30 year "bible student" has come down to asking questions that sound like they come from someone who doesn't know Jack about the bible. Discouraging, ain't it folks?

im wondering if there are any jw here that may be married where they are not disclosing their activities on this forum to their parters.. im wondering if you have added this site to your favorites and changed the name / title of it( if you are like me ), out of fear that your partner or a visiting dub may be nosing through your computer and see jw.com written.. what have you changed the title to ??

UH-OH!

I don't "code" THIS site like that, but I DO have a couple that I "modified" (cough) and I'm not tellin' what they are! (grin)

Funny....as I was about to read this, hubby came into the room and was telling me (talk about coincidence)that in your "favorites" list, if you have several sites that start with "WELCOME to-------", that he was just reading in the paper to simplify things, modify it by putting the actual subject at the beginning (like "Welcome to Do it yourself/how to build an outdoor fireplace) would then be "Fireplaces to build/DIY".

When ya DO get around to looking for the site again,hitting the F for Fireplaces will make it a lot easier to find! (I hope I described it so you can understand it :o)

I've got a LOT like that, it will take time to edit them all, but what a frustration saver, huh?

One page I found gave more or less the same descriptions, so maybe there ISN'T any hard and fast info available as to specifics (for what I needed anyway) but compiling what you posted and what I found through searches, it pretty well all points in that direction (Memorial & Satanic Ritual parallels).

1. JWs do not celebrate the birth of Christ, (who is commonly referred to as our Savior.)

2. JWs do not celebrate Christ's resurrection, or experience the joy of that miracle. (He IS risen!)

3. JWs DO "celebrate" the DEATH of Christ every year, by passing the bread and wine to congregation members, which ALL but a very small percentage are taught to REFUSE.

BUT-------every JW firmly believes that he/she....IS.....A....CHRISTIAN!!!!!

I was thinking about point #3, and how I had seen a reference somewhere (here?) that Satan worshipers have a ritual on the same night as the "memorial", where bread and wine are passed and refused by the members.

I don't remember if any proof was cited and I can't find the thread. I've spent hours searching through Google, etc, and can't find what I'd need to be able to present it as fact.

I know it was the first time I'd ever heard it and meant to research it before now.

I'd really appreciate any help on this.

hey all,.

for anyone that cares, after 4 months of unemployment and living off roman noodles and kool-aid, i have finally gotten a job.

it's at www.livecapsule.com doing the interface for their software.. the office is damn pretty, in front of me is an entire wall of glass facing the ocean.

All that great scenery surrounding you, the cold ones on ice, AND a paycheck? (WHERE did I go wrong?)

When we had some "lean days" and five kids to feed years ago, we did the old "macaroni & margerine" menu, you can do wonders with seasonings, LOL! Oh yeah, AND the Kool-Aid too!

One of my sons said he'd but a long loaf of "store brand" sandwich bread and a jar of peanut butter, and he lived on this more times than he cares to remember! (He was out-of-state by then, and if Momma had KNOWN....a CARE package would have been shipped)

Hoping my menu for survival will not be needed and all goes great!

same observation independently.

It IS really mindboggling, the AMOUNT of books ALONE each week that are supposed to be studied, underlined, etc for each meeting,

HAVING to know all the tracts in your servicebag inside and out in case someone at the "doors" touches on a subject that might be IN one of those tracts(gotta be prepared),

HAVING to be totally familiar with(even down to what PAGE a specific illustration is located on, so you don't fumble around looking for it)all the brochures that are churned out,

Being EXPECTED to know every article in every one of the magazines you carry, as well as HAVING to study and underline and prepare ANSWERS for the Watchtower Study,

TRYING to finish the current yearbook before the next year's edition is due,<grin>

HAVING to read-study-underline the current Bookstudy book,

AND the TMS guidebook,

And the "All Scriptures" book,

And prepare the "home study" if you're the "spiritual head" of your household.......(well, you get the picture, and there are SO many MORE) all published by the Watchtower Society, and ALL as I mentioned,are expected to be read by the JWs.

At Ecclesiastes 12:12, it says, "As regards anything besides these, my son, take a warning.To the making of many books there is no end,and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh."

Do you active JWs honestly look FORWARD to preparing for the many meetings, HAVING to study and underline answers? Or do you personally find it wearisome and repititious? (and secretly deep down wish that they would "lighten up" on ALL this, and that you could just skip it most of the time when you're dog-tired from the regular day's routine?

Just something to think about......

Read Matthew chapter 23 (especially verse 4) and SEE the strong parallel between the WTS leaders and the Pharisees that Jesus had no "use" for......

God never changes. Only organizations pretending to speak for God change........LOVE that, LB!

I don't recall HOW MANY HOURS the bible recommended for families to study.
I do know MAN made a rule on time however.
Let's see.....10 hours a month for field service
1 hr. for family study
1 hr. to study watchtower together
At least some bible reading every day
Study for the school....study for the service meeting...study for bookstudy...personal study,
1 hr. if you have a study (usually way more)
Read the daily text, read all the magazines....and any new book, read the yearbook..............

You just might have time to get to know your family and friends and have some time to relax if you play your cards right.

Yes....these are required by Jehovah , if we are to be spiritualy strong, and well grounded in the truth for that soon top come FEAR INSPIRING DAY in which only those who are doing a good job at the mentioned REQUIRMENTS will endure.
