has anyone noticed the recent deterioration in the quality of wt's contents lately?..

the spiritual food seems to be getting more and more shitty these days.

i have given a thought to what could really be going wrong, and if it is likely that some on the wiriting committee is consciously dishing out those nonsense to facilitate more poeple seeing ttat.

because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

I wondered if it was just me because I have only recently learned TTATT, but it seems like the spiritual food is getting pretty stale. It has always been the same stuff, just stirred and reheated, it just seems to have a real unpleasant smell and texture these days.

Notes from "Safeguard Your Conscience" Special Assembly Day

recently we had the 'privilege' of attending our local special assembly day.

the theme for this year was safeguard your conscience, and you guessed it, they looked up every reference to the word 'conscience' in the bible and then wrote a talk about each one.

it was most definitely a case of "pack your bags, we're going on a guilt trip.".

Straight away you know that a whole day of conscience talks is going to be a huge cult propaganda program. Get them all feeling guilty and scared.

- We should not demand that people change their conscience to match ours. We should not dictate to others what they should do on things that are not expressly stated in the scriptures.

What the hell? Isn't this exactly what the GB is all about?!

Those 'has it's place' WT quotes from Blondie are disturbing when you see them all compiled like that. That comment from Pistoff was awesome, spot on. I think jgnat's graph highlights the fact that true Christians know eating and sleeping has its place, it comes after kingdom interests. The GB seem to be paranoid that the rank and file might be enjoying normal lives, God forbid.

i jus got dissfellowshiped at th last week..i feel like dying..i attended th meetings yesterday and ita ws jus horrible..came back home in tears....... people i used to cal my friends nw cant look me in the eye..so heartbroken confused and giving up on life !.

Sorry to hear about your situation, many here understand exactly how you feel. Take your time to read some of the stories on this site.

If you have any family that are not JWs, maybe you could talk to them, or get in touch with some of your old worldy friends. You will find many worldly people to be very kind and non judgmental.

The announcements kinda seem to me as another little privilege that they can gift to a qualified brother. It is like a stepping stone to the Sunday chairman or instruction talk. It use to seem that way, it has changed a bit.
