  Disfellowed on 7/16/14 for sending a letter to my former congregation

  it's been quite a while since i lasted posted anything on jwn.

  i was in hiding previously, but only because i wanted to avoid the shun gun until i had the opportunity to tell my former congregation what i think about the org./gb.

  i last attended a meeting over 2.5 years ago but it wasn't until june--when i earned my bachelor's degree--that i finally had the time to collect my thoughts and get them down on paper...i decided to write my letter in a style i felt would be most appealing to my target audience--jw's still under gb mind control --in the hope that at least a few would read it and actually "think".

  i thought it was high time to introduce myself (without my name of course).

  as my name would suggest i have been reading your intriguing post, thoughts and discussions for some time now.

  around 3/4 months to be exact.. i guess to start with it would seem fitting to give a little background on my current situation.. i'm a born-in, but have over the last few years found that through a number of varying occurences, (some of which i may discuss in future posts) that my 'zeal' has gone from regular field service and meetings to no service in over a year and very sporadic meeting attendance.

  Advice about going to Meetings...................oh why didn't I listen...LOL!!!!!

  i have been back to meetings for a month now.

  prepared for them all except for when i went on holiday.. todays wt is about jehovah's organisation, it's clear loaded language and manipulation through fear.

  i am not perturbed by it in the least.

  Hi Kate, I'm glad you've decided going to meetings wasn't good for you, it's not a healthy atmosphere. As to patients confidentiality it is a very serious matter, make an appointment to see your doctor and voice your concerns.

  Where would we go, is the question

  what better place, what better world can be offered, is the question tossed at those who have left.. what if it is just the same place, without taking everything we hear at the kingdom hall as gospel?.

  can we just take with a grain of salt the things we know deep down are without basis?.

  it is the same place, with the same friends, but without the drama of feeling that you can never do enough, that you were born sinful.. a faith that does not ask you to treat your family as disposable; a place that does not kick people to the curb when they need their family the most; a faith that lets you trust your heart, not ignore it.. can we just stay in the same place, and realize that we do not have to sacrifice our childrens lives by denying them blood if desperately needed?

  He's sick and twisted if he lives in me, my first 40 years were dreadful.

  Back to the OP for me I could find a half way point, I am an all or nothing person. Contradications, hypocrisy, lack of love were all I could see once I was thinking for myself. Now I queston everything.

  listen guys, one month i had some bible thumpers knocking at me door telling me about hell.

  then i have some weird fundamental religious sponsored "education books for parents to help their children in school".

  the next i have some south korean mother god cult come to my door with qr codes on their literature too.

  thinking of leaving

  i am 46 and have been a jw for only 6 years.

  i was doing ok until about a month ago.

  we were having an international convention and i heard the brother that had to pick up 2 of the members of the governing body had to get a background check done on him and his wife.

  Welcome here, it's good you've woken up to the reality in such a short time. Put the last 6 years down as an experience and just walk away. If it makes you feel better write a resignation letter, it's your choice. I feel a little jealous as I was robbed of much much more by them.

  i just wanted to share the good news that wednesday was the last day of my summer teaching internship.

  i had a great time with the kids-- they were ready to learn, be challenged and have fun.

  and this was summer school!

  What's Worse than a Pedophile? A Elder Who Tells Newspapers JWs Hide them?

  in jw "practices", is a active pedophile worse than a elder who called the police and exposed a watchtower cover-up?

  i wrote how some pedophiles have bought lavish gifts, throw elder parties, and bring out their best worldy gifts to win the hearts of the congregations shepherds.

  sadly to report, a large portion of the jw elders are not educated leaving them to rely on the watchtower's written materials to decide what is "right and wrong", instead of using the bible or mankind's laws.. .
