Finkelstein... I have seen the first half of the other documantaire (by NOVA) and that one is also very interesting. It goes more indepht in the history of the old testament (more so then the brittish version). I have to check out the second part but there are some amazing discoveries about the origins of the jews. Very interesting!

I have seen the whole documentary and was actually surprised by her findings... they were enlightening and seen from the timespan it all happened it is a plausible story.
On the downside though: she is not talking about the gilgamesh epos which I thought was one of the stories borrowed and plugged into genesis. Because now she gives an explanation about the garden of eden but does not tell about the flood story which is also part of the same epos.
O well.. it was enlightening thats for sure :)

because the weather is getting more extremer by the day (all over the world) and it was cold this morning i started talking about the weather.

Thing is Phizzy... I actually do not have too many problems leaving the religion behind mentally (although the past one and a half years have been a rollercoasterride)... but this is one of those corethings that is the hardest to annihilate...
Too be honest... I could not care less about the end of the world or whatever. If it comes it comes and there is no shit I can do about it other then hoping I was likeable to some that survive :P

Before everyone is crucifying me: the intention of this article is to state actually two things:
- it seems the muslim community thinks it is the time of the end (as well as many christians)
- the "what if" originates from 35 years of brainwashed cultthingy coming into play. It tugged my mind although I know a lot better then that ;)

Thing is not 1 but 4 on the most imprtant jewish dates within ONE year + eclips in between. One is not extrordinary but 4 has only occured 7 times before within 4000 years (that is what some christian websites say).
