  Baptised Twice!

  my friends mother has been a jw for ages, and i was amazed when i heard she was baptized twice as a jw, once in the 1940's and again in about 1961. .

  whats the deal with that??

  she mumbles something about things changed in those years and the earlier baptism was invalid or needed re-doing.... .

  Yes,my daughters grandmother.She was baptized twice.She was doing something that she shouldn't of been doing,so she really wasn't baptized in God's eyes.So she was baptized around 2 yrs ago again.

  I used to be an extremely shy person,sometimes to the point of it being painful.

  Of course I cannot remember the name of it,but it sounds like you have a social phobia...I don't mean to say that in a harsh way.

  the card doesn't help me, but it doesn't matter, i have a full house.

  Hi Gilwarrior,

  Yes you do have a gambling problem and it sounds like it is taking over your life.As well,taking away important things you need.I don't want to attack you and make you feel worse than you are now.

  You have to take control of "YOUR life" and get the help you need.There is no shame in getting help and admitting that you have a problem.

  Does Our Arguing Scare People Off???

  with so much going on over here, do you think that newbies, lurkers, or potenial apostates could or do get scared off from this place?

  if someone is on the fence and they want to explore the internet and are warned that all you'll see are disgruntled apostates, could these forums make them think the "faithful and discreet slave" is actually right?

  Really what is there to be scared of,words written down on a website?I have learned not to let verbally abusive people get to me.Sure they may hurt"sometimes".they are just words and if someone wants to try to hurt someone with words,they are just trying to build themselves up,by trying to get back at yah,and ripping you down.

  I must say...the only thing the JW's have done for me...after I left.....was make me stronger.

  i know some of the people that come to this board, used to go to the beyondjw.com boards.

  if you have then you might have known dana, aka wingedgoddess01.

  if you did, i am sad to report that yesterday her 14 month daughter died.

  This is sad,I have a 20 month old ,and the thought of loosing her is horrible.The pain she must be going threw .....I'm sorry this has happened.I'm thinking of her and the family and she will be in my prayers.

  Nobody scared me off,I'm still here.

  Would have I thought the Gb was right about the apostates?No,I wish I found this stuff out sooner.I would have been released from a lot anixety attacks for all those yrs.

  I WUB yahs all,and I am thankful to this website,and that it is in my life...

  newest JW video?

  i"ll start by telling you that i was over at my brother in-laws house the other day with my husband.

  while there my four year old niece was showing me her new disney video.

  my sister in-law turned to my niece and said " sarah , why don't you tell your aunt about the scary video you saw the other day.

  This has nothing to do with the video,but I know one family that would put a lot of fear into their children.With the blood transfusion issues,they would put the boy into the situation of him being forced to have a blood transfusion.They would ask the child questions and they would tell him he would die during armageddon.WELL,his baby sister fell on he mouth and cut her lip open.Her mother gave her a popcycle and she was getting blood in her mouth ,the boy freak and cried and scream,that she was eating blood and now she was going to die at armageddon.she used to do the same when he "very seldom" misbehaved during the meetings,pull him into the bathroom and tell him he may as well celerbrate christmas and die like all the other kids at armageddon.

  That WAS TOO much.At the time he was only 5.

  Double Life

  when a witness is leading a double life, are they really leaning toward not believing in the "truth" and just staying in for family and friends sake or do they really believe it is the "truth" but just want to have a little fun?.

  i have a friend who says he is "in" just because he goes to meetings of sundays, however during the week you would not believe it if he told you he was a witness.. just curious..

  I know some JW's who live the Jw life,no celerbrating holidays for the kids,no b-days.BUT when it comes to them having fun,like going out and drinking on the weekends or get togethers at peoples homes.Thats ok.....

  I was ..the "sit on the fence,with one leg on each side" gal.I believed some but was doubting Heather.I just got so sick and living like this,so left.Thankfully,I'm gone!

  Things like molsetion can be hard to believe.Its discusting and when we think of something like that happening is hard to believe bcecause we cannot place oursleves into an action and behavior such as molestion.Normal people cannot think like them,and I cannot place myself into a situation of molesting and think like that.

  Well thats my opinion,but I do beleive the allegations.(People can lie,to get back at people.)I think the truth is comming out because God is doing it.

  Just like the catholic's..and just like the JW's...the same.
