  well i tried to do this yest and i lost all of it, :( lot of typing lost, but oh well, i would welcome feedback from anyone who has been through similar things to me, i got the truth 13 yrs ago, and i never felt like i was wanted not really, i was with a man and had 3 kids with him when i came into contact with the witnesses, but he was a pedophile so i found out and had been doing things to our kids since they were born, i ditched him, he walked from 2 high court trials, and no one in my cong cared abt me, they didnt want to know.

  said it was in my head, anyway, i struggled for years i hated going to conventions and being ignored by my own cong, it was just me and my daughter on our own all the time trying to serve jehovah, i didnt feel happy but i just wanted to please my god and i just tried my best, i always felt left out and i was never asked to do demos at the hall, its like they were just putting up with me, i was always pulled in for stupid things like the messages i put on my answerphone cuz some stupid stuck up old sister didnt like it.

  Cult books for JWS

  i recently purchased "combatting cult mind control" the book by steve hassen and found it very enlightening.

  upon the conclusion of that book i did realise once and for all that i was indeed a victim of mind control and that the organisation of jehovahs witnesses certainly qualifies as a "destructive cult" the book was of special interest to me, beacuse it was not written by an ex jw , but by an ex moonie, thus the information is not biased, being particularly written for ex jws.

  the similarities of the dubs and the moonies are quite eerie, although there are some differences.

  What am I feeling for her?

  this is going to be a little rambling but i hope it makes sense.

  i won't use names out of privacy concerns, but it's as true as i can make it.. where i work, i've begun developing very strong feelings for a co-worker.

  her shift and mine overlap for a few hours each day, and i see her when one of her duties brings her to my area of the plant (otherwise we work in separate areas).

  I don't mean to blame the victim, but women who are in these sort of relationships are often emotional powderkegs. Dude, get your mind off this lady real fast. Stop sexually fantasizing about her, that is what feeds the obsession.

  Can be true,but they need to get help and get lots and lots of esteem help,for they won't be powderkegs.

  I was just glad I got out as fast as I did.These men can be very sweet and hide the way they are and than they get you in a situation and try to trap you.Happened to me that way.....I had to swollow my pride and tell someone I needed help to get out.Made me feel dumb,that I fell for a guy like that.

  I agree with staying out of a persons marriage,and she is not comming to you ither.BUT if she is being abused,she may need someone to step in....I would find out for sure first.When a woman is being abused,they don't want to talk to anyone because they are ashamed and feel dumb,being with a man like that.If she was confronted,she may deny it because of the shame she feels.Abuse should never be enored.

  I had a drunk of a dad,who hurt my mother...one of the sweetest woman on the earth.I bet there was times she would have wanted help to get out sooner.....For myself,I was in a crappy relationship for almost 2 yrs and there was times I would have wanted someone to intervene.Gezzz for awhile there..I couldn't pick em!

  What I think you may be feeling is protection.Which is good,you see her for being a nice good woman,who doesnot deserve that.Mabey you want to show her how a good man can be.....

  subliminal pictures in WT publications

  a recent thread got me quite interested in this, as i was amazed to hear that some people have seen "demonic" looking picture in dub publications; i do remember being shown by a dub in the revelatiopn book a picture of jehovah (or jesus, i cant remember ) smashing something with a big rod, adn there is a hideous lloking claw, reaching up trying to grap the stick (or sceptre i cant remember what it was) sorry if this post is really incoherant, i just had two double vodkas with vanilla coke!!.

  anyway, i was quite astonished ot read that others have seen other images.

  what im after in this thread is a list of where people have seen these images and in what publications; i remember showing this certain picture to my family and them saying "are you really trying to tell me that jehovah would allow the demons to do this in his publications.

  I think it just sounded odd..saying the rumors are untrue but he has been disfellowshipped.If he did paint those pics,mabey he was putting them there to show what the org is really about.

  I do believe you can see faces in painting and other things if we look long enough.But some of those images were put there deliberatly(sp) =0)

  i just wanted to say something that is ticking me off a bit....... one of my best friends was raised a jw.......she wants nothing to do with it,but she is making her step daughter go to the meetings and assemblies(sp)....her step daughter doesnot want to go.i'm sitting there listening to her forcing her daughter go to the meetings...i'm getting sick to my stomache.why is she doing this to her daughter?she knows what it is like and what it did to her...it did nothing for her...accept get her married off at 16.arrrgggg!!!.

  all i said to them ..is "i" don't go beyond the bible!!!!

  sorrie,but i'm blowing off a bit off steam here.her step daughter can still have b-days and holidays(which is good) but she has to go to the meetings!her father thinks it is a cult and wants nothing to do with it.....omg!!!.

  Thanks for replying,I have no idea why they are sending her... I did send her some info on the Jw's and silentlambs site,hoping that will help her see what the org is really about. ahhh,Farkle can't bother me,I believe what I want and if someone don't like it or has a comment like that.I just laugh it off.

  He's no wimp,but I'm just in disbelief that they are making her go,they told her,she can stop going when she is older.

  One of the reasons is to teach her daughter morals...I felt like saying...take the bible and read it to her.
