  is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.

  when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .

  So what happened to JWs to make them give up on the preaching that was once a hallmark of their existence?

  It’s actually very simple. Jehovah’s Witness’s preaching was based on the idea that the Last Days started in 1914. And that teaching included the idea that the Generation that saw and understood what 1914 signified, would start off with a 15 year old person.

  (The reason being is because a person who understood would have to be at least 15 years old to understand correctly what 1914 meant)

  That 15 year old kid would be the start of the Generation that Jesus Christ referred to when he said.

  “This Generation will not pass away until all these things occur” ………..Including the New Order.

  They expressed the idea in a strong and forceful manner from that day forward. That Generation that saw and understood that 1914 was the Beginning of the Last days, would not get old and die off BEFORE the New Order had arrived.

  Another way they put it;

  Many will not grow old. …….. Some will not finish School.

  In the publication Reasoning from the Scriptures p.97 it said this;

  "Before the last members of the generation that was alive in 1914 will have passed off the scene, all the things foretold will occur, including the “great tribulation” in which the present wicked world will end."

  In May 15, 1984 that kid that saw and understood what 1914 meant, was now 85 years old. To prove that the Governing Body still Believed that the end was real close, they printed this Awake magazine and distributed to all congregations, to distribute to as many people as possible.

  But in the year 1995, it became obvious that the Governing Body finally figured out they were wrong about the generation. So the first step was to slowly change the idea of the 15 year old kid who was alive in 1914 and understood that it was the beginning of the last days, WAS NOT Part of the Generation anymore.

  Fist Step was to change the mast head on the Awake which read for many years like this;

  Why is Awake! Published Awake is for the enlightenment of the entire family. It shows how to cope with today’s problems. It reports the news, tells about people in many lands, examines religion and science. But it does more. It probes beneath the surface and points to the real meaning behind current events, yet it always stays politically neutral and does not exalt on race above another. Most important, this magazine builds confidence in the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new World BEFORE THE GENERATION THAT SAW THE EVENTS OF 1914 PASSES AWAY.

  October 22, 1995

  Second Step was start slowing hinting away at the idea that “The Generation” could mean something else in their Watchtower Study Publication used on Sundays for members only.

  And finally the Overlapping Generation was introduced and the members ate it like candy.

  Mormons ideology is not based on the Last Days starting at a certain year. Neither is any other cult. That’s why the Mormons will continue till the actual last days of the human species.

  I was the ‘low hour publisher’ who got judged over this

  There is a sister who told me the same thing. She use to baby sit me and now she is collecting Social Security. She was single and was a regular pioneer, so she made a little bit of money taking care of me on weekends. I still visit her and help her out financially because she was very nice to me growing up.

  But a year ago she told me her story. I was surprise she would tell me. I had no idea the kind of life she lived. I thought everything was rosie with her because she was always smiling and was very friendly and outgoing in the Kingdom Hall. But that was not the case. It was a front.

  She always wanted to find someone to love her and get married, have children, but had to work when she turned 18 to help her mom. And she could only date Jehovah’s Witnesses. She said there were plenty of real handsome men that wanted to take her out for a meal or an outing, but she didn’t want to displease Jehovah so declined She focused on “Brothers in the Kingdom Hall and the circuit, but no brother wanted to marry her because she was not spiritual enough, otherwise she would be pioneering.

  Her mom died when she was about 30ish and then she started pioneering. So she thought that now Jehovah would bless her. Then after a few years when she was starting to get close to her 40s, she noticed that the JW brothers wanted real young girls that were pioneering. In the mean time, she said there were several non-jw men asking her out in her part time jobs. But she declinedfor the same reason… Jehovah.

  Now she collects Social Security and has a hard time financially. Also, most of her close friends have pass away or married and moved away. Now in her Kingdom Hall very few attend. She said about 30- 40 people attend on Sunday and leave right away. No one stops to associate anymore. So she’s alone and I’m the only one who visits her from time to time.

  She cries a lot when I visit. Sometimes she cries for a long time and I feel real sad for her. Even though I don’t believe in God, I tell her that God is going to bless her for her faithfulness. And she calms down and thanks me.

  If she passes, I’ll probably have to make arrangements for her funeral and take care of all that. I’ll probably try to get someone to give some kind of talk, probably my dad. That way she will have someone that really cared for her………..Me!

  in one sense it’s a no brainer because the figures just don’t add up any more.. in another (negative) sense it’s a no brainer because it’s been fundamental to jws since year dot and might undermine the whole thing?

  I would say the majority of JWs have now figured out that the end is not coming in their lifetime. My parents were true believers. My mom pioneered since I can remember, dad was an elder for a long time. After the annual meeting changes, where the governing body member said that now people can repent at the last minute, actually that people would be allowed to see the Great Tribulation and repent, my mom stopped pioneering, Dad stepped down as an elder, as well as other elders in the congregation stepped down.They didn't make a fuss, they just quietly stepped down and stopped Door to Door.

  When they stepped down they attended all the meetings and maybe an hour or two on Saturday field service. Then they started Zoom during the week and only attended Sunday. Then they stopped Door to Door completely and just attended Sundays once a month. Finally they stop attending all the meetings and just Zoom.

  I hear all this from my younger brother, because I think they are embarrassed to tell me anything. So I don't press it. Last I heard my parents are attending some kid's baseball games every Sunday.
  

  Then add to that is the fact that they are not supposed to count hrs in field service anymore. That has caused several regular pioneers to quit pioneering and most of them have started taking the steps towards a career. In my parents congregation, my younger brother told me that most of the time they have between 25-40 people attend on Sunday. before covid it was over 100 every Sunday.

  Only two to four people go out in service regularly on Saturdays, and they are the Old timers.

  I think a lot of people are leaving. There has been a lot of pictures on other social platforms, of kingdom halls Sunday attendance with only 20 people and sisters handling the mics.
  

  The WT religion is gone. Door to door is a farce, it use to be Zoom but now it's not even that anymore.

  There's probably a few congregations where people are still trying to hang on. But give it another 5 years and they will figured it out also. The members are leaving quietly, not making a big fuss. And the older ones are dying every day. That's why they are selling Kingdom Halls every week or consolidating congregations.

  The Truth is not the Truth anymore and people know it.

  Putin has become predictable, dropping the threat to go nuclear whenever the war HE STARTED escalates.

  Fighting together, Europe, the Nato nations and the U.S. would crush Russia overnight

  I've learned by reading tons of book on human psychology, tons of books on crime and murder, that when someone makes a threat against you, whether it's to shoot you or nuke you, You take his threats seriously. It doesn't matter if it's a small pussy man, a woman, a young teen, or a 71 year old dictator.

  If Putin is attacked by Nato, and pushed into a corner, I wouldn't doubt he would go, but he would take most of Europe with him by nuking them. You are talking millions of people plus disruptions in food and fuel supplies, perhaps for years to come. Also they would now become vulnerable to other nations like China, Korea, Iran or others.
  

  Several US Congressmen are so stupid that they have actually called for a tactical nuclear war against Russia. They have no idea that all it takes is a couple of nukes to hit American cities, and literally millions will die instantly and millions more will die because of disruptions in food delivery to several states, fuel disruption, chaos among the survivors, etc.

  As it has become obvious by all the different views. Democrats are for welfare programs, Republicans don't want that many because lots of people abuse them. Democrats are for abortion, Republicans not in many cases but not all. Democrats want open borders, Republicans want "Make America Great Again"

  The problem all around the world is that we can't sustain Huge Countries with Millions of people with different beliefs, Customs, Culture, Religious orientation, etc., and expect a small group of people to be elected and make important decisions for the millions and millions of different tribal, racial, and religious groups.

  It won't work indefinitely. Sooner or later Civil War will break out amongst the different groups, and the Nation might fragment into different Countries just like the continent of Africa.

  First of all, humans don't need leaders, period. But in the evolutionary process of reaching our potential as a self sustaining human species, we still haven't reached that point of understanding. The majority of humans haven't grown up. The majority of people still want someone to take care of them, they still want parents to care for their needs.

  As a result of not growing up, many humans are irresponsible, many woman have tons of babies with different fathers and want welfare programs to care for their stupidity. Many men are also idiots, in that they impregnate tons of women and won't accept the responsibility to care for their own children, they want the State to care for them.

  So who pays for these irresponsible men and woman? The law abiding, hard working citizens. They are the ones that pay the price.
  

  On top of that, we still allow Greedy, Power Hungry men and women to obtain power. And once they grab power, they control masses of people to their demise. A good example of this is Bill Gates. Yes Capitalism works for some, but for the majority, it does not.

  Bill Gates was allowed to become a Billionaire. With that much power he is buying thousands and thousands of Acres of Farmland. What do you think he is going to do with all that farmland? He and his decedents will control all the food in the USA. He is already using his power to derail many farmers and put them out of business. Capitalism, Socialism, Marxism and all those political structures don't work.

  Whether we like it or not, Billionaires/ aka the Elite, determine your life because they set the parameters for the masses of citizens who are not Billionaires.
  

  What humans need to do is decentralize all these Nation States with Millions and Millions of people run by a few men and woman. It doesn't work. The world population needs to be broken into small communities. Communities small enough where every responsible voter votes for policy that affects the community and not elect individuals who make life and death decisions for them based on factors like; She is a "Woman....Woman of Color.....or Good Looking.....or a Man that is Good Looking......Tall, ...etc.

  The majority of US will not vote for polices that affect them, they will vote for a person's looks, gender, race, tribe.

  A generation of 18 years old kids who believe a man can get pregnant is allowed to vote. How do you think that will affect the lives of the majority.

  Young girls are allowed to vote for war, which will force young men to go and die, but the women who voted are exempt from going to die for their beliefs. They can stay in the comfort of their home and have a nice career on only fans, becoming a millionaire in a matter of a few years. How is that fair.
  

  Elections and Voting for an Oligarchy is a Scam. It's worse than the scam the Governing Body is using on its members.

  Are you glad you got the Covid Vaccine? Did it help?

  i didn’t get the covid vaccine, but i admit, i was scared as shit i made the wrong decision because there was so much confusion out there.

  practically all my family and most of my friends took the vaccine because everyone was depending on those in charge to speak the truth.

  now a lot of them are sick, and they can't figure out why.

  That podcast with Joe Rogan and Brett Weinstein is an interesting theory on why the Covid Vaccine was created in the first place.

  What we know now is that Bio-weapons manufactures financed by taxpayer's monies, had been planning to create a weapon that could be delivered to a certain populations that needed to be culled for any reason that might pose a threat to the survival of those in power, including an enemy nation.
  

  The spike protein has the ability to lay dormant in some people for decades, then at a certain age of the individual, it resurfaces in the form of some type of respiratory disease that will kill the individual but cannot be traced back to the vaccine. This will allow those in power to control who and who will not live.

  The best and assured way to control any dissenters to the power structure in Government is to vaccinate all the population with a spike protein that has a timer and can hide in everyone's DNA, and be turned on anytime those in control decide to cull the population.

  This would explain why many got the vaccine and never got sick like the unhealthy who died. But if they got the vaccine, they are still on a timer.

  romulus is getting great reviews and i just don't understand it.

  it was predictable, formulaic fanfiction.. it brought nothing new, quite the opposite in fact.
