I like that. ha ha . Before I saw that, I was thinking the solution to "the Taliban problem". I was going to say tie them up and force them to listen to the distric convention "ALL OF IT". It would put them to sleep for one thing. he he Then it that did not work, force them to sit through a Sunday morning talk, given by the most boring brother they can find.

What's a parent to do?
by Tammie ini don't know if i am the only one with this problem or not.
but i have two boys ages 4 and 6. i get them up at a normal hour (the older one is in school, now).
i even put them to bed around 8 or 9 pm, depending on what is going on for the day.

I don't know if I am the only one with this problem or not. But I have two boys ages 4 and 6. I get them up at a normal hour (the older one is in school, now). I even put them to bed around 8 or 9 pm, depending on what is going on for the day. But my problem is it is now almost 12:30 am, and they are still wide awake, and driving me NUTS. Has any one ever had this problem, and if so how did you fix it? If you have wondered what I have tried, spankings (but I don't like to do those), and yelling (and I don't like doing that either). Now this is an every night problem. And I am looking for solutions.

I knew of 2 different JW's that committed suicide. I can't remeber the names right off. The first one was 6 years ago this comming March. This one happen in Joplin Missouri. We was having our circuit assembly. The JW that did it waited till after his 6 year old son had his part on the program. Told his son good by, and left. Later that day his wife came home to discover her husband had hung himself in the garage. He was about 35 at the time, left behind a wife and 2 young children. Oh yes he was an elder. And the second JW to kill himself happened at Paola, Kansas, July or August 2001, on a Sunday. His wife called the police when he walked out of the house with a gun. They used a helocopter to search for him. The moment the police located him, they got there just as he was blowing his head off. But he was not dead just yet, so they rushed him off to the hospital. He died at the hospital shortly after getting there. He left behind a wife and a daughter.

Talking about bumber stickers on cars, dealing with religious issues. One day I was walking into a store, in the parking lot was this god awful color of a green car. I guess it was close to baby poop green. Well I guess the owner of that car was too poor to buy any bumpersticker. Because they had written in permant black marker all over the car. Things like Jesus saves, end of the world, and had a few scriptures written on it.

since my mom and dad have been separated.. my dad was being kind to my sister who was in need after her divorce.. she was the typical jw just, high school education then depending on a man.
dad agreed to let her live rent free till jan when she graduates from dental school.

Hi Ranchette, I just came across your post today. I am a former JW, and will never go back. But I was thinking about how your father has treated your sister, his daughter. And it brings to mind, you know that scripture that the JW's use and it basicly says, "If a man does not care for his own, he is worse than a man with out faith." I don't think that are the exact words. But it is close. He and your mom, brought you and your sister in this world. And don't you think that a parent should help out their off spring when their are in dire needs. I don't know it that will help. But you could use it to throuw back at him.
