We are Packer Backers, me, hubby, Rocky the dog and Spike the guinea pig. As long as Brett does not get injured, they will go all the way.

Dogs don't turn into teenagers. They don't care about clothing styles. They don't get depressed about friends. They are very forgiving. They don't think their "parents" are stupid. They don't get drivers licenses. They don't watch TV or use the computer.(Well, not a lot anyhow), they are happy with a few chew toys.
My son's siblings were all dogs and cats and assorted other critters.
We needed at least one kid to have grandchildren ( got 2 little grandsons) Grand dogs and grand cats just aren't the same thing.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, now in Arizona, yes I am a Packer fan. Even my dog, Rocky dons his Packer scarf for the games. If Brett Favre can keep from getting injured, they might go all the way this year. You are right, though, they haven't dealt with some of the good teams yet.

Charlie is 66 years old now. It is interesting to see what a miserable life he had and how strict religion didn't help any. He didn't have strong character to start with and then to have the miserable upbringing he did, he was doomed to turn out bad. The Tate/LaBianca murders were in 1969 so he has been in prison for over 30 years now and will never be out.

Just who was this Charlie anyway? Both LAPD and the Los Angeles Sheriffs Office started to dig through the rubble of his heavily documented 36 years. As information came in about him, it was no surprise that he was in trouble. If ever a kid had a miserable start in life Charles Manson was it.
An illegitimate and unplanned child, he was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, November 12, 1934 to Kathleen Maddox, a promiscuous sixteen-year-old who drank too much and got into a lot of trouble. Two years later, Kathleen filed suit against Colonel Scott of Ashland, KY, for child support which she was awarded, but never received. Kathleen was briefly married to William Manson who gave his name to the boy.
Charles Manson in Nuel Emmons book Manson in His Own Words describes the Maddox family:
Kathleen was the youngest of three children from the marriage of Nancy and Charles Maddox. Her parents loved her and meant well by her, but they were fanatical in their religious beliefs. Especially Grandma, who dominated the household. She was stern and unwavering in her interpretation of Gods Will, and demanded that those within her home abide by her view of Gods wishes.

Charlie never knew his father and never had a real father figure. His mother was the kind that children are taken away from and placed in foster homes. Kathleen had a habit of disappearing for day and weeks at a time, leaving Charlie with his grandmother or his aunt. When Kathleen and her brother were both sentenced to the penitentiary for armed robbery, Charlie got sent off to live with his aunt and uncle in McMechen, West Virginia. The aunt was very religious and strict in stark contrast to his mothers permissiveness.
When Kathleen was released from jail, she was not responsible enough to take care of him, preferring her life of promiscuity and hard drinking to any kind of normal lifestyle. There was no continuity in his life: he was always being foisted on someone new; he moved from one dingy rooming house to another; there were only transitory friendships that he made on the streets.
Manson tells the story which was circulated within his family: "Mom was in a caf one afternoon with me on her lap. The waitress, a would-be mother without a child of her own, jokingly told my Mom shed buy me from her. Mom replied, A pitcher of beer and hes yours. The waitress set up the beer, Mom stuck around long enough to finish it off and left the place without me. Several days later my uncle had to search the town for the waitress and take me home."

For me it was new light. It just seemed that if it was from Jehovah it should be right the first time around. That one always bothered me. But the thing that got me researching was when a sister made the comment that sometimes it is hard to believe that all the elders are appointed by holy spirit. The more I thought about that comment the more I knew that holy spirit had nothing to do with it. Then the house of cards started coming down. If the elders were not appointed by holy spirit, then none of it made any sense. Then I found this site about the time the UN scandal broke. The next thing I knew, I was an apostate.

Have you ever saved a life?
by Crystal inwhen i was about 11 years old me and my two(not so bright)sisters were at a hotel swimming pool.i was sitting by the pool watching my one sister(we will call her k) that could barely swim herself teach my other sister who was terrified of water(we will call her b) how to swim.they started out in shallow end swimming underwater when b went off course and ended up in the deep end.when she came up she started panicing and k went over to help her.
b grabed on to k pushing her under water and then k paniced and pushed b under trying to stay above water.they did this cute little routine for a while (up pops k down goes k up pops b down goes b)if it was'nt so life threatening it would of been hilarious.
(i did start laughing...at first)then it got to the point where i knew i had to do something because they were getting ready to drown...they were swallowing tons of water and there was no time to get help.

When my son was five I went outside and found him choking on a sucker. I held him upside down and slapped his back and it the sucker flew out.
I revived my little dog twice with CPR after his little heart stopped.
